We recently moved to Sudbury from Los Angeles where I had a 15 year relationship with one of the largest multi-brand dealerships in the world and would only buy, lease and service my vehicles with them due t a 15 year relationship with one of the largest multi-brand dealerships in the world and would only buy, lease and service my vehicles with them due to their honesty, fairness and high quality service. I have been buying, leasing and servicing cars for personal use for over 25 years. When I moved to Massachusetts in August, I needed service on our Honda Odyssey and went to a dealer in Natick in the early fall. At the end of 2012, the lease was up and we decided to buy the car and asked the Natick dealer to help us do that. The dealer told us that we would have to pay a substantial certification fee to do that since it would be as if we were buying a used vehicle from them and that we were better off dealing with Honda directly. Having purchased leased vehicles many times, this made no sense and I felt that the dealer was looking to either gouge me or just didn't want to help. In any case, I did some research and discovered that Herb Chambers in Westborough consistently received favorable reviews. I made the call and was referred to Dan Piorkowski who explained that he could facilitate the buy-out at no cost and also help with financing, title, extended warranties and all other related matters. In our meeting at the dealership, Dan explained all of my options in a clear and concise manner and ensured that I was fully informed and comfortable with the transaction. He made it easy and very cost effective. I asked to meet Tom Van Fechtmann, the General Manager, to praise Dan's ethic and service and realized that the "can do" attitude also existed at the top. Tom then introduced me to the service team and I realized that the customer centric approach was not only preached, but practiced at every level throughout the dealership. Tom then introduced me to the folks at Herb Chambers Ford in Westborough where I have been servicing my Explorer and have come to understand that it is a company wide approach to doing business. Now, I have taken my old BMW roadster out of storage and of course will take it to Herb Chambers in Shrewsbury. One more thing about Tom and Dan. After I financed the purchase of the Honda, the lender mistakenly reported to the credit agencies that we had missed one of our payments which now appears on our credit, right in the middle of our home search. I called the lender and it was clear that it might take awhile to get the correction made on a timely basis. So I called Dan and hoped that he could help. Without any hesitation, Dan, with Tom's support, got right on it and cleared it up on an accelerated basis. In conclusion, based on the service that we have received from Tom and Dan and now also Herb Chambers Ford, we will not service, lease or buy a vehicle other than at Herb Chambers. It's that simple. I recently leased a 2013 Civic Si from this place and I can assure you that this was an absolutely great experience! I had previously visited another Honda dealership who's name I won't mention, but after can assure you that this was an absolutely great experience! I had previously visited another Honda dealership who's name I won't mention, but after seeing typical tactics used by car dealers and getting the "run around" when it came to talking numbers, I decided to come to Herb Chambers of Westborough and it was like night and day! No pressure, my salesman Anthony Kent was honest, straightforward and very relaxed which made the whole process very painless and actually quite pleasant. Adam Tremblay helped me with the financing and after an honest and open back and forth exchange, I got the car and the deal that I wanted. On February 28, 2013 I visited Herb Chambers to return my Honda CR-V from its lease. At the same time I was looking for another car where I was introduced to Ricardo Oliveira. However as I spoke with Ricardo we started to build a relationship and it was a wonderful experience working with him. He helped make the process more smoothly and suggested the Accord LX with its new features and immediately got one to show me and get a better feel of things. I loved it. It was affordable and looked great. Not only as a salesmen he helped out with our tight schedule to speed up the paper work process.
