We brought our car in before Express Service opened on a Sunday, we filled out paperwork asking for the needed service and said the center box would not close, asking the dealership to look at it. At almos Sunday, we filled out paperwork asking for the needed service and said the center box would not close, asking the dealership to look at it. At almost 4:00, we had not received any call from Sam Swope. When we called asking about our car, we were told since we asked for them to look at the console, no service was done and it couldnt be looked it until Monday. No one could tell us why we had not we received a phone call about this and they did not perform at least the requested service, even though we had parked in express service and filled out the express service paperwork. When we did get a call back on Monday after 2:00 pm, we were told the repair would be close to $300 and the requested service still wasnt done. I said I had the extended warranty from honda. The service advisor rudely said he didnt realize I had it but said it probably didnt matter, he told me he would call back in 5 minutes. He called me back over an hour and said it wasnt covered. I said please wait on this repair and asked about my requested express service, which is suppose to be done in one hour or less and now had been almost 36 hours. He said probably about 30 minutes until it was done. I never got a call back saying my service was done. When we called to ask if our car was done, no one working could tell us if it was done for sure unless we talked to our advisor and we kept getting a message for our advisor. This is not the first time Sam Swope service has let us down and they give Honda a bad name! More
We ended up buying a CRV from Swope after being given the run around at Don Jacobs. It was worth the 70 mile drive to Louisville. The car was ready at the time we agreed on. The final price was exactly wh run around at Don Jacobs. It was worth the 70 mile drive to Louisville. The car was ready at the time we agreed on. The final price was exactly what we had agreed to over the phone. The car had been washed and detailed inside and out. The salesman personally went over everything with me in detail. And each member of the management team called me within a week to introduce themselves. I would definitely recommend this dealer. More
Bought 3 used cars from Sam Swope in the past three years, their window sticker price is very high and sometimes overpriced, however, most of the time they will give you a huge discount up to $ 4000 off years, their window sticker price is very high and sometimes overpriced, however, most of the time they will give you a huge discount up to $ 4000 off that price. They also will give you more for your trade in(most of the time). The dealer also have a 7 day exchange policy in case you are not completely satisfied. The only gripe I had was dealing with their financing manager who did not gave the lower interest rate until I
complain about it (racism ?).As always make sure you check the price of the car you are buying at Edmunds.com,at least in Sam Swope I had been able to negotiate a price closer or lower than Edmunds.com's "private party" price.Never pay retail price. Sam Swope will advertise their lower price on the Courier Journal newspaper(most of the time),do not forget to check if the car you are buying is advertised there.
Good luck. More
