Poor salesman and manager basically called me an idiot I recently stopped by to look at a truck. It was about 1,000 out of my price range but I know dealerships sometimes negotiate. The truck was listed at a really good price, I just wasn't able to do it at that level. Anyways, they may have had a sale if Ron actually did what most salesmen would do. I test drove the truck and have done my research beforehand. The Truck was clean. Anyways, the salesman Ron started with these greedy sales baits. He said, I have a guy coming from Austin to come buy the truck and showed me a few text messages that could have been fake. Now I know how good the deal was, I was just hoping I could get it down just 900 more. What made me mad was the fact that after the test ride, I thought we were going to talk about some things. Ron during the test ride, basically was complaining about the internet sales people and how he had to get a 2nd job,etc. If that is true, that is sad, but it's not professional, especially if you're about to give some company a large amount of cash. He said something about he's not making enough money from this company. Ron basically had me sign some things and gave me the total and was like, "Sign here." He never talked to me about trading in another vehicle, if I had any questions, or if I had any other thing I wanted to address. That made me a little uneasy. He said it wasn't negotiable, so I got up and left. Since, I couldn't do the price they wanted, I figured no I'm not going to sign anything. Get this, I never even told Ron I wanted to buy the truck yet. So, I left. Shortly after that, the sales manager called. I forget his name. He tried to see what went wrong. I told him that Ron didn't go through the proper notions a salesmen would go through. He just assumed I was buying the truck. The sales manager then proceeded to tell me, "Don't let your negotiations outweigh your common sense" which he was basically calling me an idiot. I didn't appreciate that one bit. I will not shop at this dealership, nor will I recommend this dealership to my friends. If Warren Buffet owns the company, that owns this dealership then they can afford to drop the price 900 less. His net worth is $80 billion for crying out loud. I'm not an idiot nor will I ever be an idiot. I had a price I wanted to pay and they couldn't give it to me so I left. I didn't want to waste anymore of my time. I was planning on going to look at a truck at another dealership. The things they said afterwards are what made this bad taste in my mouth. I don't know Ron, and he may be a decent salesman, but he wasn't tonight. Remember car dealerships need you, you don't need them. UPDATE: The General Manager, Greg Besson emailed me back. I thought he was going to apologize for his employees implying I was an idiot. He asked, "Why are you sending me this email?" Apparently, customers are an inconvenience to him. He said he has taken care of the issue, which means absolutely nothing to me. I honestly wanted an apology from him and the guy who called me an idiot. This doesn't look good for a company with the name Fort Worth attached to it. The truck or the price was never the issue, it was the way I was treated. I was going to be a nice guy and take my reviews down after I received an apology, but not anymore. I never once offered to buy the truck, nor was I asked if I wanted to buy the truck. The only question the salesman asked was, "So do you want the truck" and I said if the price is right. Which that means I wanted to negotiate, but they didn't even give me a chance. I wasn't treated as a customer, they treated me like garbage. More

My experience was Honda of Fort Worth has been a great one - especially from the Sales Dept side. Instead of the hassle and stress of negotiating price at the dealership, I decided to try my luck at internet prices by emailing dealership to get their best price. That's where Honda of Fort Worth came in. The person I worked with directly was Seth (the Internet Sales Mgr). I called him up, explained my situation that I live in Austin area about 3 hours away, and wanting a specific trim, option, and color. Since he didn't have that exact match in his dealership, he went to work by looking for other dealerships for that match, and negotiated with them in doing a dealer trade. Providing my CC info for a small deposit, Seth drove about 3.5 hours (each way) to do this dealer trade, provided me pictures of my new vehicle at the dealership he was doing the trade at, and called me when the car was at his dealership ready to go. In addition, he added window tinting, cargo tray, and pinstripes for free. Everything set up, we drove last weekend from Austin to Fort Worth and everything went so smooth there. He was very courteous, patient, answered all our questions, and the price was exactly as we agreed, no hassle what-so-ever (except for F&I Mgr in pitching extended warranty, etc, but that's at any dealership). If you are considering Honda of Fort Worth, I highly recommend them and ask for Seth. More
