Bunch of liars I went to buy a crv exp touring. Whole time I asked if they had silver with gray interior and the sales person said yes and after paperwork when the c I went to buy a crv exp touring. Whole time I asked if they had silver with gray interior and the sales person said yes and after paperwork when the car came it was a different interiors. I said no to that. As this is near my place ...I went for memorial day sale....they promised me to deliver the car I wanted and do price match with Edmunds quote I had. Once I went to take the car initially they refused to honor memorial day deal which was promised and then came up with ridicules interest rate and conditions to finance in full. It's a bunch of liars who will ask you to do paperwork while you are busy in something so you can't see the charges etc. If I can give negative rating...I want to do so. Beware of liars and go and shop other places...the only thing can help you to grow the business is integrity and trust which is missing from these guys. More
Changed Pre-Arranged Deal at Last Minute! So I do all of my car shopping via phone. I will not enter a dealership until I've negotiated a deal that I will accept. I recommend you do the same So I do all of my car shopping via phone. I will not enter a dealership until I've negotiated a deal that I will accept. I recommend you do the same. Why swim in the pool of sharks when you can throw chum in safely from land? So, I negotiated a deal for a 2016 Honda Accord LX lease with their salesman, Ron, who I had previously leased a 2013 Honda Civic with. The terms were stated by me, repeated by Ron, and then repeated again by me at the end of the phone call to verify. Other dealerships that were closer to my home offered me a similar offer, but due to my pleasant experience with Ron previously, I decided I would make the drive to Honda of Freehold. Once at the dealership, the terms of the deal were changed. The taxes and fees (which were previously discussed as being approximately $2000 were raised to $3300). The sales manager, Joseph, came over and said how there must have been a miscommunication. There was no miscommunication. This was an underhanded attempt to change the deal. He agreed to cut that number down to $2600, but would not honor the agreement we had previously discussed. I walked out and leased the same car at Honda of Toms River with no hassles and surprises. I get that negotiating techniques are a valuable tool for a car dealer, but to agree to terms and then change them is not a negotiating technique. It is a lie. More

We were interested in finding out mor We left Honda of Freehold very upset and disappointed due to our interaction with salesperson, Daniel Timmerman. We were interested in finding out more information on the Honda Pilot and when he asked if we were purchasing today, and we said we were not sure and want more information. He insisted we leave and come back during the week when he has more time. He made us feel like we were cutting into his sales time and did not want to help us at our visit or answer any questions we had regarding a potential purchase. For that reason, we will not return to Honda of Freehold for poor sales interaction and they will never receive our business. We are likely to share this information with friends and colleagues in the area. More
NEVER WALK THRU THE DOORS OF HONDA OF FREEHOLD On May 11, 2016, I decided that I would call up Honda of Freehold before going there to spend a day at the dealership while they play their game. I On May 11, 2016, I decided that I would call up Honda of Freehold before going there to spend a day at the dealership while they play their game. I spoke to Alexa who seemed very nice and quoted me a price for a Honda Accord EX L to lease. She told me to come into the showroom and someone would be able to assist me. I said to her before I got off the phone with her, that, if I come into the showroom, to make sure the price would be the same price as what I was quoted on the phone. She confirmed that it would be the same phone. I went to the showroom the following evening and asked for Alexa. They told me that Alexa is an online sales person and that the sales person who works with Alexa would be able to help me. His name was Anthony Rodriguez. Anthony said Alexa wrote down all the information for the car. He said don't worry I have it. I said okay...great! Anthony said to me wait a minute, I need to go to see the Sales Manager...He did this to me about three or four times.... normal procedure when going to a dealership...So I waited...And he said okay the price is not the problem but we don't have the car. He said would you want the sports model...I said no. He then replied okay then we need to locate the car for you. He said could you give me $500.00 to locate the car.... I said no I can not give you $500.00 to locate the car... I said let me think about this. I proceeded to leave the dealership and when I was in my car Anthony came to my car window and said, "Okay we can take the months payment to locate the car. I told Anthony no....let me think about this. The next day I decided to call back the dealership and I spoke to Alexa who confirmed that this is a very aggressive offer and that I should give her the money down so they can locate the car. A week later they located the car.... Anthony called me to let me know they had the car and when could I come in to pick it up. He responded that they were open till 9pm but that I wouldn't want to sit in the dealership until 10:00pm. This was Thursday. I said okay...I called him back and told him that I would pick up the car on Friday. On Friday I call the dealership to ask what time can I pick up the car. They told me that Anthony was off.... WEIRD!! He said he would be in and would have the car ready. I told the receptionist my situation and she said okay, Dina can help you. So I went there and Dina was getting all the documents ready. She was asking for my driver’s license and registration. A few minutes later...Dina comes back to me and says okay this will only be anther few minutes. In the interim the finance person comes and says…”Come with me to my office”. I sat there while he proceeded to type information on the agreement. After about 10 minutes….”He said while turning the folder around; which contained the lease agreement documents which I signed, that this is the price we are at now”. I said, “What are you’re saying we had an agreement and that’s not the price we agreed upon”. So now they wanted to increase the price of the car…. another $89.00 dollars. I was in disbelief! At that point I told him “No, we had an agreement, they promised me a car a week ago and I gave them the deposit in good faith, to look for the car. I waited for the car to come in…”. I proceeded to get up and walk out and the finance person said…no wait let me see I will be back in a minute. He comes back and says yes this is the new price…”I said no this is not the price we agreed on thank you”. As I was leaving, I asked Dina what happened? She said I don’t know any of the particulars…. Really? You told me that you have done this for years? Really? I asked her if I could speak to the manager of the Honda of Freehold. Of course, I waited another 10 minutes while she talked to him and then he came out. Mr. Peter DelVacchio said, yes I can help you. I explained the whole situation and he said that Anthony Rodriguez never did a credit report on me…Really!! Why did they go and find a car for me and make me give them a deposit!!! Take a week to find it and have the swap guy call me to say they found it. He said to me that Anthony will call you to pick up the car!! Mr. Pete DelVacchio then said my credit score doesn’t meet the price you agreed upon. I said how could that be…. I have leased an Acura for three years…and three years ago this didn’t happen to me and Acura is a higher-grade car then Honda…Mr. Pete DelVacchio then said, well there is nothing I can do for you. Nothing you can do for me? That’s the answer I get? Nothing? Really? The very next day I drove home my new Acura. No head games, no headaches and no aggravation! Is this how you treat your new clients? If this is how you treat your new clients, how can you retain your old clients? This was a horrible ordeal for me. What a poor representation of Honda! I feel that this establishment is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY OR LEASE A CAR FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! I WILL OFFER MY SUGGESTION TO ANYONE I MEET TO NOT EVEN WALK IN THE DOOR OF HONDA OF FREEHOLD!!! I am reporting my experience to the Better Business Bureau. More
