Difficult Used Car Experience We visited Honda of Freehold because we had purchased 2 new cars from them previously. We were looking for a used car for our son. We had done some re We visited Honda of Freehold because we had purchased 2 new cars from them previously. We were looking for a used car for our son. We had done some research online, and received confirmation of an appointment via email. When arriving at the dealership, the individual we had the appointment with was out that day. There was no record of our appointment. We were then given to one salesperson who then handed us off to another (Tarek). We reviewed with Tarek what we had seen online and he was able to locate the vehicle. However, the more that we spoke and asked questions, the less friendly Tarek became. Once we decided to purchase the car, we had to wait an exceptionally long time to close. Since it was a weeknight and we were paying cash for a used car, we still had to wait nearly 2 hours to actually see a finance person. Surprising since the dealership was not busy. To make matters worse, Tarek told us the car only came with one key and that we needed to go to a locksmith or Home Depot to have a key made. We asked if we could pay to have the dealership make one and were told they did not do that. Needless to say, Tarek did not know what he was talking about because we just ordered the key from them when we serviced it there. This is not something we should have needed to research as customers. I don't know if it is the new ownership or just Tarek that made the experience abysmal. I can say that we had great experiences with Paul Aweeky and Anwar, neither of whom are still there according to Tarek. More
