Terrible experience My wife took the car (Odyssey Touring 2006) to this service center because it had a weird problem. The car would shake / vibrate badly while driving My wife took the car (Odyssey Touring 2006) to this service center because it had a weird problem. The car would shake / vibrate badly while driving but ONLY between 45~65 mph. Drives normal below or above that speed range. The dealership charged their "diagnostic" fee (~$89?) and told me that I need a wheel balancing and maybe a transmission oil change? I asked that a disbalanced wheel should cause even more shake as I speed up but it subsides ! The gentlemen that called me back to say yeah okay you don't need wheel balancing - but you need an axle replaced as it's leaking. Total cost $499 + $100 !!!!!!!! I again didn't see the correlation so I asked how confident are we that this will fix the problem. The answer hmm about 60-80% So I am at a dealership because I thought they would know the car best and to get a quality service and here I am, playing a guessing game and paying with an arm & a leg? I declined, paid my "diagnostic" fee and went to a local mechanic - who did a FREE estimate - and told me I have a broken engine mount which causes the engine to shake when accelerating and it subsides because when I am at a higher speed, it doesn't take that much effort to keep going. I am very sorry but I am disappointed and I feel I have been robbed - with the diagnostic fee and the unprofessional attitude, I don't think I want to go back unless the dealership can make it right. I have been a loyal customer and have had better experiences in the past. I hope someone from the dealership reads this and I would be happy to hear from them to restore my confidence. More
Live's up to the stereotypes of sleazeballs and liars My car was in an accident and we wanted to replace it with a newer Pilot. I made sure to check with Ron that before I left, I would have something in writing for my insurance company showing the price I would pay so I could use it to help collect diminished value from the other insurance company. Ron even asked his management to make sure that was ok and I was given the green light this would be done. After Ron and Jon, his "guy behind the counter", wasted my time for 2 hours, they told me they wouldn't give me the quote in writing unless I bought something. I couldn't believe it. First Jon told me the quote I got up the road at DCH Academy Honda wasn't going to be honored and out of state Honda dealership over the internet, then they lied outright to me. Worst dealership ever. I am especially incensed with Ron who comes across so low key and let me help you. They are liars and the slimiest type of salesman who have done nothing but reinforce the stereotype of car salesman. I highly recommend anyone thinking of going to this dealership to take the 10 minutes and drive up RT 9 to DCH Honda in Old Bridge where they got me out in 1 hr and gave me everything I needed in writing without pressuring me to make a sale that day More
WATCH YOUR WALLET WHEN PURCHASING Recently leased a new Honda CRV. on May 5th,2014. We turned in a 2011 Honda Accord,and we were over the allowed mileage. Deal was made,for the new Recently leased a new Honda CRV. on May 5th,2014. We turned in a 2011 Honda Accord,and we were over the allowed mileage. Deal was made,for the new CRV, we were told,,no problem with the over mileage,no moneys owed,all would be in cost of car. (That is exactly what occurred when turning in 2008 Accord). There was absolutely NO DOCUMENTATION OF BUYERS OBLIGATION. NO PAPERWORK REGARDING ANY MONIES OWED. A month later,received bill from Honda Finance,we owe $2632 for settlement charges. Unbelievable.!! Bill was adjusted to $1716. Manager will not discuss issue and one manager (Ryan Scheif even laughed). Dealership has no buyer loyalty. We purchased a Honda Pilot and this is our third and of course last lease. I live nearby,but will go out of my way for service anywhere else. Disgraceful shoddy dealership. More

Another great experience with Ron at Honda of Freehold! This was my second purchase, first being a 2009 Civic and currently a 2014 CR-V. Ron made the buying experience perfect each time. He was patient with us while we were making up our minds as to which car would best suit our needs, He spent Ron was very helpful with our purchase. He was very knowledgeable about all of the cars we looked at. There was a problem with the printed inventory. According to the inventory we picked out a blue Civic. After deciding on the price we found out that the car had already been sold but not taken off the inventory. Ron made up for that by giving us the choice of waiting for a blue car or giving us a package of extras to make up for the different color that was available. After our dealings with Ron we went to talk to the finance people. That is where the problems started. As a whole we felt lied to and manipulated by both Joe and Ryan. The entire finance process was painful to us. From the time we had agreed on a price to the time all of the paper work was filled out was about 3 and 1/2 hours. This process should and must be streamlined. After a full day of car shopping we were very tired and although we said no to all the extras Joe and Ryan tried to sell us, when we got home we realized one of the extras still made it on the bill. With a follow up visit the next day the problem has been rectified. Ryan was able to refund the cost of the extra. More
Horrible customer service I went in for an alignment. First i made an appointment for 7:15 am on the phone, then the writer tells me the techs dont come in until 8 am. Then it takes forever for the tech to finish my alignment, and the service writer tries to tell me it usually takes 2 hours. Lie number one. Then when the alignment is done the caster is still out of spec. After asking the service write, Frank, he says he is going to get the tech. Instead he goes and helps out another customer, completely disregarding me and leaving me waiting. After 10 minutes i chase him down and talk to the tech. The tech i still believe is lying to me. He told me that the bolt for the the caster adjustment is stuck and he turned it all he could. And that i would need all sorts of new parts to get it right. But he is lying. I have worked in shops and anytime there is any sort of issue it is to be documented on the service order, which it wasn't. and i didnt need any new parts until i started asking questions. Then when i wanted to speak to a service manager they told me they were both too busy to speak to me now. after being there for an hour longer than i should have i paid and left and left a voice mail with the general manager. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT. UNORGANIZED, INCOMPETENT PEOPLE. More
