I went to Honda of Freehold looking for a Honda Accord Hybrid. I was also considering a Toyota Prius. I was lucky enough to work with DJ Wilson. DJ listened to all my needs and correctly qualified me f Hybrid. I was also considering a Toyota Prius. I was lucky enough to work with DJ Wilson. DJ listened to all my needs and correctly qualified me for the car of my dreams! Little did I know that the actual car I wanted and needed wasn't a hybrid at all! DJ did not pressure me at all, but shared his knowledge of the car he thought might be right for me. He provided a solution for my request for great gas mileage and a beautiful full featured car.We test drove the 2014 Honda Accord EX-L with Navigation. I was sold. DJ gave a perfect demonstration of every awesome feature on the car and made me feel comfortable to take it for a test drive myself. I was immediately impressed with the car, but more importantly, DJ's knowledge and amazing customer service. After we decided that this was the car for me, DJ got started on all of the paperwork. He made sure that we found a payment plan that was in line with my income and ensured that I was happy. I chose to finance the car on my own behalf, without a co-signer. I was at the dealership with my Grandfather, but DJ gave me the attention I deserved, and didn't try to convince my Grandfather of anything, which I found highly respectable. He knew I was the buyer, and didn't try to sway my judgement in any way. He guided me with his extensive knowledge and passion for Honda, and let me make my own decisions. DJ introduced me warmly to every other associate I worked with along the way and always made sure I was comfortable. He offered us coffee and was just a pleasure to work with. DJ even helped me call my insurance company and get my insurance set up properly. DJ called me today to follow up with me and ensure I was happy and doing well. I cannot say enough about DJ's outstanding customer service and professionalism. I have already recommended Honda of Freehold to everyone I work with at Microsoft, and recommended DJ especially. I shopped around quite a bit and of the eight cars I finalized on auto trader.com two of them were from this dealer. When I got there I found a third one that I had to decide between as well. They had quite the myriad of options well priced competitively. Working with DJ was a pleasure for the most part. He wasn't pushy, it was clear he was in the business for a while and didn't show the slightest bit of concern or impatience when I asked a test drive all three cars. I really felt like he understood where my head was at during all phases of the process and didn't act like the "sleazy car salesman" at all. If he treats all of his customers the way he treats us I'm not sure how he has any time for his own family. He was there throughout the whole process. On the phone with our insurance agent and even to put gas in the tank at the gas station at the end of it all. Good guy. (And in high demand. They must've paged DJ over the loud speaker a million times). Cons? The place at times became annoyingly really busy and during all three visits we found ourselves doing plenty of waiting. That was probably the most irritating part of the process. That and the one oops where the car I finally settled on and did preliminary paperwork for was later found to be purchased by an employee so I had to settle for my second best option (not a bad second option, just wasn't my first). I also found a handful of spots they missed in the cleaning process inside the car. Remnants from the previous owner in a couple of nooks and crannies. They caught them though when I brought the car back in for an add on feature a couple of days later. Those were the only issues I had with the process but otherwise I have no other complaints. I would shop here again. Neil in the financing office is extremely informed and took the time to explain everything about the process, what things mean, and how it all applies to you and your financial situation. We visited plenty of dealerships before this one during my preowned car search. These guys came off warm and trustworthy. Because of that I would do business with them again. Not to mention the place was very clean and transparent. Hopefully next time they will keep the baked goods area in stock (it was always empty!), but my waistline is probably thankful they didn't. More

I have owned Honda's since 1974. I am 71 years old and will own a Honda until I can't drive anymore! While visiting you website, I read quite a few nice reviews about D.J. Wilson so I asked for him wh and will own a Honda until I can't drive anymore! While visiting you website, I read quite a few nice reviews about D.J. Wilson so I asked for him when I came into the dealership last Tues Dec 24th. He was pleasant, well dressed, happy to answer my questions, and found just what I wanted and at the exact price I wanted! Just a really nice man. Kudos to D.J. That being said, the only issue I have was the extremely length of time I had to spend at the dealership. I was there from 11:30 to 5PM that day. Was it because it was the day before Christmas? Was it the holiday party going on? Was it the finance office (that seemed to be the longest part of the wait) What I do know, is that I don't ever remember having to wait that long to purchase a car and at this same dealership. Hopefully, Honda's human resourse area can take this as a learning lesson to reduce time waiting (I am saying this respectfully, not angrily) I do not want this to reflect on Mr Wilson as he did his job and did it well! I visited Honda of Freehold in October of 2013 to purchase a new Honda Accord. The salesman took the time to answer all my questions and get information from others that he did not have himself. The test drive experiences were very pleasant and comfortable. I was very satisfied with the final price. After purchase, the registration, plates and title came quickly as promised. I absolutely love the car - so much that I went back with my son in December and purchased a certified used Civic for him. The salesman from the first car was not available, so I requested another who had been very helpful during my original purchase and we had the same wonderful experience. The dealership is very nice, but these two salesmen made it exceptional. I highly recommend this dealership - especially if you can be served by John Holland or Chris Chrepta. More
