My recent visit to Honda of Freehold was exceptional. The dealership was new and very clean. I was greeted when I walked through the door and I was treated very professionally. I walked around the show room for about 5 minutes before Akram introduced himself and told me he was going to help me. Akram asked permission to ask me some questions and take some notes to ensure that he understood what I was looking for. Since I had already done research on the 2012 Honda Coupe EX-L V6 the conversation was tailored to why that car would be a great choice for me. The best part he did not try to change my mind or steer me towards something that I did not want. We went over some numbers, I told Akram what I wanted to close the deal, and I left 2 hours later with a new car. I would recommend Akram Ali and Honda of Freehold to anyone that is looking for a vehicle, and does not want to have the “typical” dealership experience that so many dislike. More

Very Friendly Sales person, well aware of his business and the car specs in detail, took us on a test drive, answered all my question in a professional manner. Most important, he really did his best as far as saving us more money than we thought we can get. defiantly recommend him to do business with. We have researched the honda pilot for over a year and were looking to purchase a 2012. Although we were limmitted on time we were very serious about price comparisons of lease vs finance. Maria was very helpful in taking our information and answering a few of our questions, but when it came down to price, her manager came rushing over to walk us out of the door. He completely brushed us off because he felt we were not "serious" and should return when we were "ready". Little had he known, would he have offered us a good deal we would have taken it - no questions asked. Not only were we infantiziled but we were swept out the door with disdain. I feel as if we were discriminated because of our age and appearance (young couple just having just come from the gym). The sales manager was down right obnoxious and their sales staff obviously are not well versed in financing or they would be able to quote prices themselves (not have to rely on a "manager" to provide a quote). We left Honda of Freehold and drove right over to DCH Nissan where we purchased a 2012 Armada - yes $19,000 more than the cost of the pilot - fully loaded - for the sheer appreciation of customer service. Nissan spent 3 hours with us and even brought out snacks for our kids and played with them as they processed our paperwork. They also threw in lifetime free oil changes and 5 years free road side assistance. How's that for customer service??.... I think Honda needs to take notes.... More
I am 51 years old and not easily impressed, especially by auto dealerships. However, I was hugely impressed by the used car web site for Honda of Freehold. First it was user friendly, and easily searchable auto dealerships. However, I was hugely impressed by the used car web site for Honda of Freehold. First it was user friendly, and easily searchable for the cars I wanted. Second there were several cars of the type/price range I wanted. Third and most importantly was the ability to get CARFAX statements free of charge for every vehicle. I actually purchased the report for one of the free ones on the website, and sure enough they were identical. This is a marvelous service. There was one small glitch. I called the dealership about the 3 cars I wanted to see and was assured they were all "in stock". When I got to the dealership, I was told my first choice (a 2005 Honda Accord) was "in the shop getting some scratches buffed". Willie apologized, said I could put down a 100% refundable deposit and come back later in the week, but I decided to look at my #2 choice (a 2004 Civic). This car was in stock and had lower milage so I decided to go with it. I was impressed that the car with 98,000 miles had a major service before it was put up for sale so that the battery and timing belt were new. I paid the full price because I thought this is such a great service. I was a little concerned that the pickup was not great, but I never drive Civics and Willie assured me this was normal for this car. Also I haven't really driven the car yet so hopefully my opinion won't change once I get more familiarized with the car. However it comes with a 30 day/1000 mile power train warranty so I feel pretty confident. Barring any surprises in the near future my impression of this dealership has changed dramatically. More
