We recently purchased a 2011 Honda Pilot Touring edition from Honda of Freehold and had an excellent experience. George Eidel was our salesman and he was the epitome of a gentleman and an excellent salesma from Honda of Freehold and had an excellent experience. He returned calls promptly and he promised us our car within a 3-5 day window (they didn't have our color in stock). Sure enough we received a call in 2 days that our car was on the way and we took home Pilot a day later. Everyone I encountered treated me and my family with courtesy and everyone was very friendly. I just leased my third consecutive Honda Pilot with Freehold Honda. I did my homework and they beat out all other dealers for price. Bill really worked with me to get to my monthly payment goal. Paul Aweekly was just honest through the whole deal, and just laid back. I had called before I went down, and we agreed on a price for a certified pre-owned Odyssey over the phone that was way below average retail price for the same vehicle in every other dealer I visited. Then they not only did Paul keep his word to the dollar, he held the car for me, and it was there when I arrived (unlike the "Sorry I just sold that vehicle, but we have a different one for more..."). Unbelievable for a used car dealer. I had been to almost every dealer in the NYC area, and was disgusted by their "Savvy Sell Anything" type of sales people, not to mention the lies that they would try to sell. (I even had a different dealer that almost sold me a car that was clearly in an accident - I knew because the Vin numbers on the fenders did not match, and they lied to my face about it, plus it had cigarette holes in the armrest - and they call that HONDA CERTIFIED!) In addition, when I went to pay the sales manager went over different packages that he could sell me, and when I said I wasn't interested after hearing some of them he said "I understand". It was that simple - no fighting with me over why I NEED his offered services. Plus the extended warranty that I did end up purchasing in addition to the vehicle he was able to extend it to a bumper to bumber coverage for 8 yrs. 120,000 miles. So in the end I paid retail vaue for a certified pre-owned vehicle, and got a longer/better warranty than a brand new one. In short I would say that Honda of Freehold is like an out-of-town prices and service, but not that far from the city AND WELL WORTH the extra drive. I am very satisfied with this dealer, and plan to reccomend my friends, and use them and Paul Aweekly in the future. More
