My experience at Honda Of Valley Stream was disappointing. To start off the staff came off as friendly. The experience with salesperson Ramone was decent. He showed me an example of the vehicle disappointing. To start off the staff came off as friendly. The experience with salesperson Ramone was decent. He showed me an example of the vehicle that i was interested in and then allowed me to test drive one. Also there was no pressure whatsoever during the process and he was pretty much hands off and answered any questions i had. Because of the test drive and how impressed I was with the vehicle and the initial sales interaction, I decided to start the process of purchasing. And that is where my experience went south. When it was time to pick the vehicle up, I was met with the finance officer Gabe who did take care of my application and even asked if I wanted to go on a 6 year loan to which I said no. That part was fine. As much as Gabe is a nice person where he stunk up the experience was the tying tactic he pulled on adding the extended warranty to the financing; saying due to my credit, I can only get the 1.9 % financing if I take the Honda Care. If not then my loan air will be 7% over 5 years. A total scam play with that. Knowing that my credit score qualified me for the 1.9% Extended warranties aren’t an obligation in order to finance. Especially when confirmed with conversation with a Customer Service two at Honda Finance and Honda Care. So that left me sour and cynical. I almost didn’t take the vehicle but i decided to take it because everything was still within my budget. In summary, I left Honda of Valley stream disgusted because of the deceitful tactic to sell me an add on with a lie instead of being straight forward with me. For that i will not return there to service my vehicle or for a future purchase. Neither will I recommend anyone to shop there because of swindle games in the purchasing process. More
