Salesperson was straightforward and pleasant to deal with Salesperson listened to what I was saying. Gave us time to think over offer and didn’t get pushy or make us uncomfortable. Beware Price Changes First, Kevin O'Dea was my salesman and he was great. That said, even though I had pricing in an email from Bill Cassidy (sales manager, I believe), t First, Kevin O'Dea was my salesman and he was great. That said, even though I had pricing in an email from Bill Cassidy (sales manager, I believe), the numbers went up when I sat down with Kevin at the dealership. After I called out the difference, Bill came over and told me my pricing had changed in the two weeks or so since his email because of a change in flex cash from Honda (an end of month thing). Obviously, I was a bit miffed (felt like bait & switch). Bill made no mention of a time limitation in his email, Kevin seemed unaware of the changes until he presented the numbers to me and, oddly, every other dealership said there had not been flex cash available on the vehicle I was trying to purchase. Yes, I asked specifically. I cannot say definitively how the flex cash may differ across dealerships, but I can say beware of price changes between what you are told in email or on the phone and what is presented in the dealership. In fairness, Bill did offer to throw in some all-weather mats and to discount an extended warranty if I agreed to a new purchase price (translation: I still raise my overall cost by adding a higher-margin item to the sale, but I should be happy because I get a discount). Regardless, he wouldn't honor the original number so I bought at a different dealership for a price below Bill's original number in my email. I'm sure I will check them out if I am in the market again, but this experience made me check the "no" recommendation box for now. More
Friendly and professional I just purchased a new Accord at Honda of Westport. Love the car, got an excellent deal, and the sales staff was very good to work with.
