Bad recall fix Took my car, 2010 Honda Accord, to Honda of Westport for airbag recall. While fixing the issue they notified me that there is another problem that wil Took my car, 2010 Honda Accord, to Honda of Westport for airbag recall. While fixing the issue they notified me that there is another problem that will cost an additional $523.00. I authorized the fix and eventually picked up the car. Drove the car for 2 days and after running errands, on the second day after the repairs were done, made a stop at Home Depot and got back in the car; but the car would not start. I never had this problem prior to taking it to Honda of Westport. I called and informed them of the issue and they opted to charge me to diagnose the issue, $130. After diagnosis, they want to charge me almost $1000.00 to change the starter. I was floored. Long story short, sloppy repair job, terrible customer service and their sole intent is to swindle the customer; In my opinion. I had an awful experience doing business with Honda of Westport. A routine recall by the manufacturer turned into a $1600.00 nightmare. Stay away from their service department. More
