Unfriendly, uncaring attitude. Seemed focused on what he couldn't do rather than what he could do. That's when he wasn't insulting my car. While traveling in Jacksonville in December 2011, our 09 Honda Odyssey (55,763 mi.) started making a loud noise in the back. We immediately took it to Honda of the Avenues to have it checked out, requesting Honda Odyssey (55,763 mi.) started making a loud noise in the back. We immediately took it to Honda of the Avenues to have it checked out, requesting that they test drive it and look at the wheel bearings as a possibility. We were assured they would take it out on the road to check it out. Several hours later we received a call stating there was no problem with the bearings, and blamed the noise on our TIRES. We were informed the bill would be around $100 as an inspection fee, but for $300 we could have the transmission fluid changed, and not charge us for the inspection fee. We gave our approval to do this work. Upon picking up our van, our paperwork stated "tires chopped" and "no noise heard from wheel bearings at this time." (We also noted that the mileage in/out was the same number, so we wondered if they even took it out on the road.) After arriving home, the loud noise continued and got worse. We then took our van into a Goodyear Tire dealer to check out the tires. We were informed that the tires were fine, wearing well, and were not chopped. They then proceeded to show us the BAD WHEEL BEARINGS on the left rear tire -- THE VERY THING WE REQUESTED TO BE CHECKED. We then called Honda Customer Service, who instructed us to take the vehicle in to the nearest dealer, Brandon Honda. They checked the noise and replaced the bearings on the left rear wheel. This work was covered under the vehicle warranty, and they gave us excellent service. I would not recommend Honda of the Avenues to my worst enemy, and have told this incident to our many family and friends in the Jacksonville area. More
I would not reccommend this dealer to my worst enemy! I purchased a vehicle from Honda of the Avenues and the service in general has been jacked up from the very beginning! I have had to call on three sep purchased a vehicle from Honda of the Avenues and the service in general has been jacked up from the very beginning! I have had to call on three seperate occassions to reorder a part that was never ordered initially, which is a huge inconvience and the parts and sales representative don't really care at all. I honestly would by a new bicycle before buying another Honda from the Avenues! I would travel elsewhere to do business with another Honda dealership if I were you. Good luck! More

i would like everone to know what a wonderful service experience i had at honda of the avenues. each time my van was due for service the service manager offered to pick my van up on hes way to work and d experience i had at honda of the avenues. each time my van was due for service the service manager offered to pick my van up on hes way to work and deliver it on his way home iknow i am not out of the way but the treatment is still extra ordinary. i found there prices to be extremly reasonable and the staff from sales to service has always been wonderful. I would like too thank the staff at Honda of the Avenues Service Department especially Bill Rogers. He offered me fast and friendly service and took the time on three seperate occasions to ride with me and Service Department especially Bill Rogers. This review is specific to the Service Department, as I have had nothing but a good experience with the Sales Department. I called to make an appointment to have a part replaced and brought the car in righ have had nothing but a good experience with the Sales Department. Without even looking at my car, the assistant service manager Bill Rogers told me to bring it back tomorrow? Excuse me? Why did I make an appointment only to have you tell me to bring it back? When I questioned why I wasn't told on the phone that they wouldn't be able to repair it same-day, he replied extremely condescendingly that "well that's just something most people assume." Well sorry, Bill, but I'm not a mechanic, and I wasn't aware of how long it takes to replace a wheel bearing. Called the service dept. manager Brian West and was met with weak apologies and no real action. Both times I've been in, I've been met with deception on wait times and snotty attitudes. I will never bring my car back here again for service. More
The staff is always welcoming and friendly. They take the time to review the repairs and offer suggestions and advice for needed repairs. I would suggest their service department to anyone with any car repair need. More
We came in for an oil change and service on our Odyssey and had an hour to kill. So, we were looking around at new cars, not sure we were in the market this year or not to replace my husband's van. Frank and had an hour to kill. So, we were looking around at new cars, not sure we were in the market this year or not to replace my husband's van. Frank showed us new Odysseys and CRVs and Pilots. Didn't like the new styling on the Odyssey, the CRVs are kinda small, so Frank soon showed us the benefits of the Pilot. Liked the styling, the spaciousness, and especially the ability to pull a boat and trailer. Lots of nice features also. So he won us over. Nice guy. Good price. Another factor - we appreciate the good work and friendliness of the service dept. More
