Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward repair turned into nearly a month-long process filled with delays, miscommunication, and poor planning. After the vehicle was initially inspected, I was informed the bumper needed replaced due to a crack and that the part had to be ordered. Once the bumper arrived, additional delays occurred because it needed painted and dried. Throughout this process, I received very little proactive communication regarding status updates or realistic completion estimates, forcing me to continuously extend my rental out of pocket while waiting for updates. Most frustratingly, after being told on April 14th that the vehicle was going to be ready and that bumper had been painted/dried, we were informed at the last minute that the bumper ordered was actually the wrong part—after nearly a month of waiting. At that point, I was told a loaner vehicle would be provided. We sent over all requested documentation in advance so pickup would be quick and easy. However, when my fiancé drove 45 minutes to pick it up, he was told I personally had to be present to sign despite no one mentioning that requirement beforehand. This caused my son to miss his baseball game because we both then had to return to the dealership together. When we finally arrived, the only loaner available was a large Chevy Silverado truck, despite my personal vehicle being a smaller SUV. While I appreciate being provided a loaner after paying for a rental for nearly a month, placing someone into a vehicle drastically larger than what they are accustomed to driving—especially after explaining concerns about comfort and anxiety driving larger vehicles—felt inconsiderate and dismissive. At this point, the lack of communication, repeated delays, incorrect parts ordering, and disregard for customer convenience have made this an extremely disappointing experience. While I understand delays can happen, the level of disorganization and poor communication throughout this process was unacceptable. I expect much better from a dealership service department, especially for a repair process that extended nearly a month, and currently still ongoing. More
