Transmission Hello, I had my ford explorer serviced at hudson Ford. The explorer had transmission problems going into reverse. It would go into turtle mode and we knew something was not right. I booked a appointment and got a loaner car that was great and convenient. Upon booking the explorer into the shop for a diagnosis of the transmission. I received a call saying the truck would need a used or rebuilt transmission that would be between $4000- and $5000 . After deciding not to have the work done. We asked about a possible trade in value and was quite disappointed of the value they would give us with the transmission problems. As we picked up the explorer and dropped off the rental. I found out the transmission pan was not removed and there for it could not be inspected. The explorer was brought into a transmission repair shop down the road and inspected and the internal components were replaced for a fraction of the price of a rebuild transmission . I appreciate the loaner car but feel the time spent with the vehicle was just wasted and I would of been happy to pay for the extra time spent with he explorer to diagnoses the broken components. I will continue to get my vehicles serviced here but just wish it could of been in a better service mater. More

Horrible customer service. Deserves negative stars. Scheduled an appointment for diagnostic and fix for 2 recalls on my daughter's 2013 Ford Fiesta, which had a 10 year 150,000 mile extended warranty. She was experiencing exactly the items listed as part of the recall. Jim the service manager first tried to say it wasn't part of the recall and came up with his own version of what that should look like (which was different than what was published by Ford). When proved wrong by supplying evidence of the manufacturer's description, he tried to charge for a diagnostic to see if the issues were related to the recall (can you say shady and scammer?), when I refused, he told us to find a different service center which at this point I was going to do anyway due to lack of trust for this service center manager and his complete lack of customer service. My experience with a different recall for my Chevy was seamless and superb, so I expected the same from Ford. Boy was I mistaken! Jim's customer service skills are not fit for any job let alone a management position where keeping customers is the key. More

I did have an issues with car after it was "fixed" that could have resulted in a very bad incident. Luckily it didn't. Because of it I did not feel comfortable in my car so I bought a new one. It is the best service Dept. we have ever experienced. Extremely straight forward, honest, respectful, etc.. The loaners are also the best we have ever been given. They are brand new vehicles. When my truck had a recall they give me a newer truck of the same model as a loaner, and these are far from being bare bones loaners. More
