I’ve never really had a bad experience with them every time I go there it’s pretty good, but all I can say on the negative side is usually they don’t have many cars in stock and it’s usually a long wait to get a sales person to help you out. Otherwise they’re pretty honest and upfront with stuff and even the manager is not bad so I would recommend them and they usually have a nice used cars . More

I went to several Volkswagen dealerships all over the NEPA area, but when my husband went to Hudson Valley Volkswagen, he refused to go anywhere else! Our sales consultant was Eric Hughes. He was in NO way your (and I hate to use this word) 'typical' car salesperson who taints the car buying experience by their pushiness or urgency. Instead, Eric Hughes was working for us and not himself. He was knowledgeable, professional, ethical, responsive, flexible, accommodating, patient, fair, inviting, attentive, honest and just an all-around good guy. Do your research online, know what you want to drive and/or buy, and then--skip the rest--and----go to the BEST-Eric Hughes at Hudson Valley Volkswagen! You won't be disappointed! If you are lucky enough to have Kevin as your finance person, you will be just as delighted! He and Eric Hughes must have graduated from the same school of customer service at the top of their class! Confirmed availability, and made an appointment to go same day. Stephanie greeted us so warmly at the dealership, it felt like family. The sales manager, Chip was so friendly and helpful. I got a great price on the first go around and took home my new Taos same day! I was in and out in less than 3 hours. Everyone there was so welcoming and kind. Nothing like the other places I’ve been to. If you’re looking for a car ask for Steph, she’ll make sure everything is ready when you arrive. I’m a customer for life!! Thank you everyone there. More
I have been here several times over the years. Always a negative experience. Never anyone to help you. Low trade in value, never any cars in stock even way before covid. They agreed to give me a price on my car based on the Vin number my car is a 23 with only 1600 miles. Auction value and carfax value are both 37,200$ Stephanie Perez tells me based on the best match they found my car is worth ONLY 31,000$. The link she sent me to this car did not work but I could see it was a car listed on here. So I went on here and tried to find the car there were also about 15 other cars all of them substantially more money as high as 42,500 but they pick the one car that was heavily modified at a junk dealer in New Jersey what about all the other cars also my car is a stick shift not a CVT and they are going for more money. Also when I looked on the Carfax the warranty information for this car is not there my guess is the guy use the tuner on the car and voided the warranty and that’s why it’s so cheap. Then the other thing is when you go look at the hidden fees on that dealership this is what it says. I would recommend this dealer for sales. I was very happy with their sales customer service and time taken to make sure I was getting the car I wanted at a good price. However, I strongly advise caution with the service department. Customer service doesn’t match the sales department, unfortunately. They want you to pay for work before even providing an estimate - so you have to gamble on whether or not something is under warranty and agree to an hour’s diagnostic fee before you know if it’s covered. Never had a dealership pull that one before, and I’ve gone to other dealership service departments for other car makes. Service manager was rude and aggressive. I will not be going back. More
On my home home from work Wednesday night my clutch pedal got stuck to the floor, I called Hudson valley Volkswagen and they said to drop it off and they would look at it first thing in the morning. First thing in the morning I got a call from the service writer Deborah Paravati and they said my car was already in the shop, part was in stock and it would be ready for pick up later that day! They removed the transmission replaced the slave cylinder and reinstalled transmission, washed the car and vacuumed the inside and had the car car to me in under 24 hours! outstanding service very highly recommend More
Wow, I just can't say how impressed I am with this dealership. This was the 4th new car I have purchased in my life and by far the smoothest and most pleasant experience. My sales person, Eric H was really phenomenal to work with. I had test driven the car closer to where I live, but once we knew we wanted the Cross Sport I reached out to a bunch of dealerships in the area to find the best deal. Hudson gave me the best price and located the exact vehicle I was looking for. Our preference was to minimize in-person contact due to the pandemic. This was no problem at all for the dealership (some would not engage with me over email). The entire transaction was completed via email or phone, I think we had one document to sign when we picked up the car which was out front and ready to go when we arrived. More
We bought a used car here last year and it has proven to be the worst car buying decision of our lives! The car has brought us nothing but problems since it left the lot, leaving us broken down on the side be the worst car buying decision of our lives! The car has brought us nothing but problems since it left the lot, leaving us broken down on the side of the road many times and needing to go into the garage every couple of months for extensive work to keep it running. During the one year we owned this vehicle, it had to be in the shop 7 times costing us thousands of extra dollars! Looking back, the whole sales process was also extremely sketchy. We were only allowed to test drive the vehicle on a small loop of road with the salesperson in the vehicle the entire time (this was pre-COVID). The salesperson (Fran) became agitated when we asked to drive it on the highway to see how it drives there (in retrospect, he was clearly trying to hide something!). We were told the Jeep came with both hard and soft tops which is what we were specifically looking for. But, we were not allowed to remove the hard top to test out the soft top. We were told to “trust” that the soft top was there because this Jeep came from someone that the salesperson knew. Well, after we got the Jeep home, sure enough, there was no soft top there so we had to go buy the pieces associated with the soft top – again, costing us more money than originally planned. We contacted the dealership about these problems after the purchase of the vehicle, however, we were met with denials and aggression. These are definitely not people you want to do business with. We were truly sold a lemon and fed a bunch of lies in this car sale! Save yourself a lot of pain and go somewhere else!! More
