On November 7, 2022, I had an appointment to see and possibly purchase a used vehicle from Huntington Beach Hyundai. I drove from San Diego to see this vehicle and was ready to purchase the vehicle. I possibly purchase a used vehicle from Huntington Beach Hyundai. I drove from San Diego to see this vehicle and was ready to purchase the vehicle. I was greeted by the receptionist and was introduced to Ryan. We test drove the vehicle and then sat down to agree on terms for the sale. I was upfront with what terms I needed met to purchase the vehicle. The terms that I requested were attainable and were agreed upon by the manager. The only issue that I had with the terms was that Ryan stated that there would be addons that could not be removed to complete the sale. These addons were a ceramic coating for the paint, etching for parts of the vehicle, a gps system and a electronic license plate all for a total of approximately $5,000. I did not need or want any of these addons and did not wish to purchase them. I tried to come to an agreement about these addons but Ryan stated that they were non-negotiable and that he could only take off the electronic license plate. Ryan’s justification for these “mandatory” addons were because the vehicle was listed below market value and they needed to add the items to the sale so that they may turn a profit on the vehicle. His argument was that they would add to the value of the vehicle, which I did not agree with. During this entire process I kept professional and did not become aggressive or rude in any form, but Ryan began to become visibly agitated and condescending towards me. When we could not come to terms on the sale, Ryan got up and retrieved the keys to my vehicle, handed them to me and just walked away without saying anything and completely rude. I thanked Ryan for his time and apologized for not coming to an agreement on the purchase of the vehicle. I hope that my experience is not common with this dealership, but I just wanted to share my experience and what other prospective buyers should expect from this salesman, hopefully the other salesman treat their clients better. I have never had an experience like this while buying a vehicle. More
you want to be defrauded when buying a car, Hyundai Huntington Beach is the Dealer that does it. They add extras without you asking or even if you don't want them, saying it's part of the vehicle when it isn't. a GPS that you do not need that you can have for a maximum of 100 dlls they sell it to you for 2,000 they want to sell you digital plates when you can buy them with another company for a maximum of 200 dlls, they are forcing that all their cars that they sell are sold with a digital plate and GPS which is not mandatory or mandatory, for the digital plate service you will have to pay the DMV year after year when renewing your registration for this service, if you want to be robbed go to Hyundai Huntington beach More
After test driving 10 plus cars of different makes and models, and talking to at last as many dealerships, it was Ted and Salem of Hyundai at Huntington Beach that finally had us signing the paperwork for models, and talking to at last as many dealerships, it was Ted and Salem of Hyundai at Huntington Beach that finally had us signing the paperwork for our new 2023 Palisade Calligraphy. From the moment we received a call from Ted, letting us know that the car we had decided on was in stock, our dealings with this dealership was the smoothest and most honest we had experienced. There was zero negativity on the sales floor and every exchange was enjoyable. Ted was a pleasure to work with along with Salem. I would be more than happy buy from them again. More
A COMPLETE SCAM. I went in to look at a pre-owned Mazda CX-5. Once they pulled up the car for us to test drive, we noticed that the sticker on the car - it was priced I went in to look at a pre-owned Mazda CX-5. Once they pulled up the car for us to test drive, we noticed that the sticker on the car - it was priced $12,000 more than what was advertised online. When we asked the salesperson about this he casually said "oh yeah this is the total cost for the car + its features". Mind you, he was never going to bring up the price - we had to notice the discrepancy ourselves. How is that legal or ethical? I've never had such a shocking and unpleasant experience at a dealer in my life. I wish I read these reviews before wasting my time. More

I'll run it by manager and call you back the same day . Never ever even recieved a call back and they sold the car. How in the world is this horrible place still in business. Based on other reviews they donthe bait and switch. They tried to charge me about 5500$ more for extras they said ," they" added told them I don't need any of that. Honor the advertise price. Plus tax license registration. Nope I never got a call back. To this day. Stay clear of this scam of a dealership. I am contacting the better business bureau . More

Don't believe them, don't trust them, recognize that their BBB rating is a D-, purchase a vehicle anywhere else, they are arrogant bullying cheaters. Experts at the "Bait and Switch. " They listed a 2020 Kia SOUL gt for $23K which was a fair deal per KBB. Went in for a test drive and everything seemed fine... Then during the payment/negotiationg ... they decided to add $8,000 in extras and they didn't mention this over the phone or on their online ad which to me is dishonest. So this place uses low price to get you in the door but they won't let you leave unless you pay $2k-$8k in unwanted extra ... Like seriously $2000 for an "Electric Liscence Plate" ... $500 for nitrogen in tires... Seriously don't bother with any listings with these guys.. its 100% a bait and switch because you will never just pay the price listed online. Will be reporting this establishment to BBB and anywhere else so people don't waste there time... My sales agent Roberto was super nice ... Went in talked to a salesman who said “ the car hasn’t been inspected through service since it barely came In “ no worries let’s see. They have $6000 of add ons for there inventory. Now since this vehicle hasn’t been touch to service no add ons have been placed. They still force you to buy the add on or NO DEAL. What a joke! Had a check in my car from credit union and they didn’t want to budge on price nor take off add on features. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME AND IF YOU DO, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE “ BEFORE DISCOUNT PRICE “ is what you will pay plus fees and extra items they want to add.
