She asked me if I had an appointment and offered to find someone to help me if I didn't have one. Since I was a current Honda owner, Thomas Boglino had called me the day before to let me know about the great trade-in special that was going on during the weekend. I was extremely happy with my 2006 CRV, but he sounded so enthusiastic about the benefits of the special that I went to the dealership just to hear more about it. Thomas came up to me as Jennifer and I were speaking and politely introduced himself as the person who had called me. I stated that I was not really looking to trade my car in, but the program did seem interesting and warranted further inquiry on my part. I was impressed by Thomas’ knowledge, enthusiasm, and by the fact that he listened carefully to what I had to say and responded to my questions and comments. It wasn’t long before I decided to look around and see if there was a truck that would make me change my mind about trading in my CRV and taking advantage of the incredible program that Thomas had just told me about. I found something that caught my eye almost immediately, and took it for a test drive. Thomas wanted me to be sure that I was comfortable in it and liked the feel of driving it. I absolutely did and my mind was made up! As I filled out the paperwork, Thomas helped make the process smooth and problem free. The next person I met was Michael Calabrese, the Business Manager, who was equally pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. He worked out the terms, gave me my options and explained the details of each one in detail. He answered all of my questions and made sure that I understood everything which helped me to make the best choice for me. It was late in the afternoon and the dealership was getting ready to close. Most of the employees were leaving and I was waiting for the last of the paperwork to be completed and the truck to be readied for me. Another salesman, Julius Taku, was kind enough to stay overtime as I waited. We spoke about the features of the truck and he confirmed that I had made a good decision. He also spoke highly of the employees of the dealership and also of the service department. I was truly happy that I had come in that day! I was pleased about my choice of vehicle and the financial terms and thoroughly impressed by everyone I dealt with that day. A final note: Although it was too late to get the truck inspected that day, Thomas called me early the next morning to let me know that he had gotten the inspection done and that my truck was ready to be picked up. I was there inside of half an hour and happily drove off the lot in my amazing Pilot Touring truck. Thank you to everyone at Honda West who made this car buying experience a real pleasure. I was looking for a certified used car and had visited 3 different dealerships. I finally decided to venture out to long island since I figured the used cars there would be less beat up then the ones near different dealerships. I visited Huntington Honda's certified Used car lot and was greeted by Alam while I looked at the cars in the lot. I gave him my price range and he found 2 cars for me to look at that he could give me a great deal on. I fell in love with a 2009 Honda Accord EX after I test drove it. I decided to wait another day and do more research to see if I could get a better deal, needless to say, he had given me an amazing price for the year and mileage and I went back the next day to purchase the car. I am very happy with my new used car and Alam was a great salesperson, very friendly and attentive and no pressure at all. I went to other dealerships where I felt like I was being held hostage, none of that here. Jose the financial guy was also very friendly and handled the paperwork quickly and effectively. My wife and I were helped by a salesman by the name of Steve Berk and we can't say enough about how great he was. Besides the friendly and great sense of humor the guy has, he recognized quickly that we didn't want a hovering hard sell or aggressive approach to the car search and negotiating. We didn't feel rushed or pushed and felt that arriving at a fair price was more of a discussion than a negotiation. We are actually from Connecticut but couldn't find the price we were looking for locally. We thought the Internet Specials we saw at Huntington Honda on-line were worth the 3 hour drive down there and we certainly left the lot feeling that we were right. Jose Lopez walked us through the finance and contract signing and again we would have to say we could not have been more comfortable with the person and the process. They gave us a great price on our trade-in and handled all the Connecticut tax and registration process too. I am guessing that we will own the Odyssey for quite some time but we will definately go to them again and will be recommending them to every one we know.
