Total disconnect This was my first visit to the Service department for my Genesis G80 and it was a total disappointment. It was a calamity from the beginning. I call This was my first visit to the Service department for my Genesis G80 and it was a total disappointment. It was a calamity from the beginning. I called to reschedule the appointment because of a conflict but the coordinator couldn't find me on the schedule. She said she could fit me in earlier and I agreed. She confirmed this with an internal email but no one saw it /read it. When I got there, no one knew about my appointment or why I was there but they said no problem because it was such a "quick fix issue i.e. check my battery and get me a duplicate key because I didn't get an extra when I bought the car a couple of weeks before. I arrived right at my appointment time and the service department appeared to be very slow, one other customer there and most service bays were empty. I checked with the guy who checked me in for an update about 90 minutes later and he told me that they were waiting on a locksmith to program my car and key and I asked why wasn't this coordinated prior. Finally the locksmith company arrived but was unable to make a new key for what ever reason. They then said that they could do it in house and I asked why didn't you do this in the first place and the answer back to me was that it costs more?? Finally after 3 hours I left with my "Key" and they didn't have any paper work prepared for my battery diagnosis. They did agree to give me a free car wash the next time I was in the area. More
I truly enjoyed my experience working with Marcus Ridley. I purchased my new G90 and my friend ended up purchasing a new vehicle as well. The advisor wasn’t very clear or helpful. He made a big deal about me bringing my car from Carriage Kia without them running the code on it. I went there first since I bought my car from them but since it deal about me bringing my car from Carriage Kia without them running the code on it.
