Being forced to pay $300 for diagnostic on my check engine when it’s done for free at auto zone is a joke! For my first free oil change in April I scheduled an appointment and arrived on time. I sat in the line waiting to get in for 60 minutes. Then the oil change took 1.5 hours and did not include a tire ro appointment and arrived on time. I sat in the line waiting to get in for 60 minutes. Then the oil change took 1.5 hours and did not include a tire rotation because that was an extra charge. Yesterday (August 27th) I arrived at 8:15 without an appointment and, although I was the second car in line, it was nearly 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged me or spoke. This time I used a free oil change and tire rotation and was told it would be 1-1.5 hours. It was actually over 2.5 hours before I got my car. I heard a number of complaints about how long it was taking and the unrealistic estimate of time that caused others to be very late. This doesn't engender any confidence in your service department.
