Upselling Service Advisor I've been here before and everything was good. But this time around I went in for an oil change and the advisor (Mary) said that I needed a belt chang I've been here before and everything was good. But this time around I went in for an oil change and the advisor (Mary) said that I needed a belt change. At first I declined and said that if it broke that I would just have the car towed in. She went on to say" that would be only if the belt didn't take the whole motor with it." So not knowing a whole lot about these things, and with a sense of fear, I had the belt replaced. And this was even when I couldn't really afford it. I then watched the tech install it and asked if the belt was as bad as I was led to believe. "No, it's just worn and getting to where you should start thinking about it." Another thing was that it took about twenty minutes at the most, but cost me 169 dollars. Completely ridiculous. I used to speak favorably about Hyundai of New Port Richey but Mary put an extremely bad taste in my mouth about the place. It's too bad that one person can trash the reputation of a business so quickly with only a moment's lack of integrity. It also makes me wonder how many others she took advantage of with her tactics. But want to say that the tech was outstanding. More
