Hyundai of Orange Park

My family and I were driving back to Wisconsin in June of 2010, when my 2002 Santa Fe started to "nose down" while traveling on the highway. We stopped at another dealership and although their service dept was closed they pulled the code on my vehicle and gave us a dealership that was open. We called ahead to Hyundai of Orange Park and let them know what was going on. Upon arriving they pulled the code and fixed the issue....or so we all thought. We left the dealership about 30 minutes before they closed and started back on our way to Wisconsin, only to get 10 minutes away and started having the same problem. We called back to the dealership and let them know we were on our way back. We got back there and they pulled the code and it was the same failure. This is all on Saturday, we had to work on Monday and it is 20 hours back to home for us. Leanne and Mike were wonderful to us. They got right back to work on my SUV. After several hours of troubleshooting they still could not find out what exactly was going on. Mind you it is now way after closing time for them and here they are working tirelessly so that my family and I could make it back to Wisconsin by Monday and return to work. Mike called in another tech, who was already at home for the day, at about 8 P.M. They finally found the issue in a wiring harness that runs the sensor that was coding out as bad. At about 11 P.M. we started on our drive home. This is THE BEST service I have ever received. Mike missed his child's b-day party all to get me and mine home. Oh and did I mention that they did not charge us another penny. You are the greatest. More

I emailed Hyundai of Orange Park with the expectation I would receive a response within the hour. Well, under ten minutes and I had an email reply from Greg Nelson. He agreed to show me a used 2009 Sonat would receive a response within the hour. Well, under ten minutes and I had an email reply from Greg Nelson. He agreed to show me a used 2009 Sonata that I found online at his dealership. I agreed to meet him two days later (at my convenience) and we drove the vehicle. I liked the car but wasn't feeling it was THE CAR for me. I explained to Greg that buying a car is one of my least favorite things to do, but since I keep my car for eight years I really want to be happy with my decision. We drove several other cars which brought be even more confusion. I asked Greg what would he do if me and he quickly suggested the 2011 Sonata GLS for several good reasons. After driving it I was sold. Now Greg had to find me the color (Camel) with tan interior. A friend of mine helped to negotiate the price with Greg (as I'm not good with that) and within minutes we shook hands on the deal. Greg gave me a (new) loaner car until my car was received and then he brought me my new car within a few days. I traded in a '03 Honda Civic Hybrid so this Sonata is really big and fancy compared to my (loved) Hybrid. I'm still comparing other vehicles on the road to my new 2011 Sonata and I believe I have the sharpest one of them all!! My friends are pleasantly surprised when I tell them what I paid. My wife and I spent a good deal of time researching new vehicles and narrowed them down to the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and The Hyundai Sonata. She was driving a 2004 Hyundai Elantra and we have been ver vehicles and narrowed them down to the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and The Hyundai Sonata. She was driving a 2004 Hyundai Elantra and we have been very pleased with the vehicle. Although it was a base model with a manual transmission, the car was a great purchase. My wife wanted something with more class and it was time to upgrade. After making a trip to Honda and then Toyota...(a very disappointing visit) we went over to Orange Park Hyundai to look at the 2010 Sonatas. We met Ken P. and instantly felt at ease. Ken is a friendly (not fake) salesman that had us laughing within minutes. Ken showed us a few 2010 Sonatas and then led us to the 2011 models....wow! What a beautiful car. We started at the GLS and ended up buying the red Limited. We've had the car for less than a week and couldn't be happier. There were a couple of mishaps in dealing with the financing, but Alex (sales manager) made things right. Up until this purchase, I have never left a lot feeling like I made a good deal, and that nobody was trying to pass a quick one on me. I highly recommend Orange Park Hyundai. Bob R. More

You won't believe this story about the quality of service I got from Greg Nelson and the folks at Hyundai of Orange Park. My wife and I had been looking to buy a 2011 Sonata SE, but since they were so popul I got from Greg Nelson and the folks at Hyundai of Orange Park. My wife and I had been looking to buy a 2011 Sonata SE, but since they were so popular, we had a hard time finding one at a dealer close to us (Charleston, SC). After awhile, we almost thought we wouldn't find one anywhere with the options and color we wanted, but Greg called me as soon as they got the car we wanted. After I told him how it would be a difficult trip for me since I am in the military, and how it would be tough to bring my wife and 5 mo. old son to take our trade-in to JAX, he emailed me to have the Sonata delivered directly to us, and take our trade without us even having to leave our front door. When the car arrived, everything was as great as promised or better, a brand new Harbor Gray Metallic Sonata SE with exactly the options we requested. It was awesome, and my wife loves the car (and I can't wait to drive it on some long road trips). Greg was able to meet or exceed all of our needs, and I cannot ever recall having such a positive experience with a salesperson in any previous transaction. He was responsive, he explained everything we had questions about, and he never gave me a hard sell. You don't find too many like that in most places. I can't recommend anyone more highly if you want to buy a great car and feel good about it after the deal is done. More

Service that can't be beat - Hattie in the service department took amazing care of me last week. I purchased a 2009 certified preowned 2009 Sonata from another dealership (out of town) with 2800 mile department took amazing care of me last week. I wanted to purchase a car from Hyundai of Orange Park as the sales people were incredible to work with. However, we found a great deal on a preowned with super low miles and felt that we had to jump on it. Last week after coming home from vacation my 4 week old car was dead. I had road side assistance tow the car to Hyundai of OP. My battery was dead. Hattie, not only got the battery replaced under my warranty in a speedy fashion she called me to inquire if I had switched the tires on my car as the tread was equal to a car with 20-25k miles. I only had 4000 miles at this time. It is a long story as to why this happened. Originally the car had after market rims on it and I asked them to be removed so the car could be certified and apparently they could not locate the old tires. But because of Hattie I was able to contact the dealership that I purchased the car from and get a brand new set of tires for free. Hattie you rock and because of you we will not only be getting all of our service at Hyundai of Orange Park we will absolutely consider purchasing our next car from you guys as well. Thanks again. This is a follow up from my last Rating. I believe I was a little hot headed in my posting. I did have a bad experience with one individual there and I let it get to me. After we got our original vehicle back and canceled the deal on our jeep I continued to shop around. After going to many dealerships and still being very frustrated with the outcome from Hyundai of orange park I soon realized that the customer service I received from all of the other employees there far surpassed what I was getting at many other dealerships. Shortly after I got a phone call from David, and first I was ready to start screaming because I had finally gotten my chance to VENT. But this guy was different. He was very apologetic and sincere. I could tell he was being honest to me and not only to make a buck. Because at that point I wouldn't have taken a free car from them. But he made things much better and I feel confident in this dealership again. David made a few bold statements to me about what he can do for us at the dealership,so far he is true to his word. So with that being said my Wife and I are going to attempt to give them another chance. Their selection of used vehicles makes them a hard dealership to pass up. My Wife and I plan on trying to buy a car from them sometime this week. I will without a doubt be back here to let everyone know how it goes. Well after getting a call from my wife crying because they would not give her keys back, mind you this she had my 18month old with her.
