From the moment I got behind the wheel I had made up my mind. Our sales person was Jon Horton, he couldn't have made it any easier for me. His product knowledge was excellent and he was a joy to work with. I knew exactly what I wanted and he got it for me. I know I had him going through the paces and he always had a great attitude and got me the vehicle of my dreams. Thank you Jon for having the patience and for making my new car purchase a great stress free experience. A first for me. Not a good experience I stated from the very beginning I wanted a fully loaded Elantra Limited with EVERYbell and whistle. I was never offered the Ultimate package which is I stated from the very beginning I wanted a fully loaded Elantra Limited with EVERYbell and whistle. I was never offered the Ultimate package which is what I really wanted. I was lead to believe I was getting it and when I got home and reviewed the owner's manual, I see I do not have the features on my current car that are listed on the website. I signed a blank sheet of paper for a survey and my sale person said he'd fill it in later. He never went over the nav system, or pair my phone or even showed me where the service dept is. I'm willing to bet my "survey" does not reflect that since it wasn't completed by me, just had my signature.. Also, I was never once told there was a complimentary trial for Blue Link. Not once. A few days after purchasing the 2017 Elantra AND the 2016 Accent, I received an email telling me my account was not complete. After calling the Blue Link phone number listed in the email, I was then told I had to contact the dealer. I contacted the dealer and was then I told I had to make yet a 3rd trip (2nd trip was to collect the manuals and extra keys that were "locked up" the day of purchase) to have the account set up. The phone lady, after I explained that I should not have to make a long drive for the 3rd time due to dealer error finally said it could be done over the phone and my sales person could do it. My sales person was off so I was told to call the next day. I call the next day and no answer so I contact the dealership again and asked for a manager. The manager finally got my sales person to take the call and the saleman admitted (while eating his breakfast on the phone) he just didn't set up the account. This would not have been a big deal if he apologized for the oversight but he didn't. He truly had no intention and the attitude of he just didn't care. It was a smack in the face considering I purchased 2 brand new vehicles. Also, taking 2 weeks to send a payoff, costing the customer additional interest on a car they are no longer in possession of, is just bad business. In this day and age of banking, our trade should have not taken as long as it did to payoff. This is my 5th Elantra (and first Accent) in 15 years. I can honestly say this will be my last because of this experience. I'm so very sad that I didn't truly get the car I wanted (and mislead on which smacks of a UDAAP violation) nor treated as well as I was with my 4 previous purchases at another dealership. More
