I purchased my car almost 2 weeks ago but had a few issues that were not being addressed. My salesman apparently left the company and I was contacted by "Bird" Clark. I can't even begin to tell you wh issues that were not being addressed. My salesman apparently left the company and I was contacted by "Bird" Clark. I can't even begin to tell you what a difference he made in my opinion of service from this dealership. He dropped what he was doing, took time to go over features in the car that were new to me. He sent my car in for a mini detail and when it was completed both he and 'Jessie" walked the car with me to make sure everything was just right in it. Bird then got in the car with me and not only showed me how to operate all the bells and whistles that I was not familiar with but gave me such an education on the Genesis in particular and especially regarding the year car that I purchased. We talked about the nitrogen in the tires, the sound buffer between the glass in the windows, the greenish tinting, the use of the keyless entry fob and on & on. This car is beautiful and this comes from someone who does not get emotional over a car, but now that Bird has properly introduced me to the car, I am so thrilled with my purchase. This man took my disappointment with my previous salesman and ultimately with the dealership and did a total turn-around. If Hyundai of St. Augustine is looking for a PR guy to promote not only the dealership but these cars in general, then Bird needs to be on the front line. I sell houses for a living. We sell the 'sizzle' not the 'steak' and Bird knows every ounce of sizzle these cars have and what an asset that is to someone like me who has never purchased a Hyundai before. Would I recommend Hyundai of St. Augustine to my closest friend? ASOLUTELY! BUT, they really need to ask for "Bird". He made all the difference and I appreciate the dealership for giving him my name and my email because their choice was excellent, but I do appreciate Bird for his enthusiasm about his product, his knowledge and most of all his time and his willingness to do whatever it took to make me a happy Hyundai owner and I am! The initial quote I got from them was not the best, but you can never judge a salesman for their initial quote. If you are shopping online getting an accurate quote is much more important. My Hyundai Sonata needed a new battery after only 2.7 years, which seems at least a year too soon. I found the car on Autotrader and it happened to be the best valued car of all the genesis coupes within 100 miles of Orlando and most likely in all of Florida. I was highly impressed because most delearships would never hold cars for a buyer that they are not certain would actually buy the car. The car was gassed up and waiting for me by the time I arrived and the car exceeded expectations in the test drive. I have been car shopping for over a year and Hyundai of St. Augustine was the absolute overall, best car dealership I've ever been to and worked with. I highly recommend them! More
The Service Advisor needs additional customer service training. We purchased our vehicle from your dealership and have dealt with her more than once. The other members of your staff including the technician, cashier, donut man, passing employees, etc. were very pleasant, attentive and helpful. Each time we've been to your dealership I've ask to speak with the Service Manager regarding my problem and I've been told (every time) he is on vacation or in a meeting. This may be the case but it seems too convenient. I'm passing this along because you asked for my input. I am not in the business of causing anyone a problem and I hope you will accept this in a constructive manner. The jury is still out on your dealership and our repeat business. When they call on a service tech (to ask me more info to better diagnose the issue) the tech always starts the conversation by extending his/her handshake and introducing themselves. Running at a professional level like this will always bring me back. Please tell your entire staff how pleased I am and how much their professional conduct makes a difference.
