Dear Quabache1, As you stated in your prior response, Indy Auto Man did reach out to you regarding your vehicle's transmission problem. It is highly unusual for a vehicle with only 60,000 miles on it to have transmission trouble. However, one of the reasons that Indy Auto Man offers a variety of warranty options is to try and prevent the experience you had with your car. Indy Auto Man sells preowned vehicles. In spite of our efforts, on occasion there can be a mechanical issue with a car and we work closely with that customer to resolve the problem. When a customer has purchased a recommended vehicle protection plan on their preowned vehicle it normally provides for a quick remedy. Indy Auto Man always encourages our customers to do this. When someone purchases a brand new car a warranty is automatic, when someone purchases a used vehicle beyond the manufacturers warranty an after market warranty is an excellent option which you declined. We sincerely regret that you had a problem with the car weeks after you purchased it. We did make every effort to rectify the problem and we are sorry that you were not completely satisfied at the end of your process.

This allows every consumer the ability to research the car's history at our dealership or even before they arrive from their own computer. Not all dealers offer that transparency, but we do at Indy Auto Man. Indy Auto Man never requires or requests confidential information over the phone, we do however have an option on our website that allows someone to apply for financing if the consumer is interested. Dear Bryan, Thank you for looking at a car at our dealership. Indy Auto Man regrets that you did not have a favorable experience on your visit. At the time of your visit, the salesperson you talked with, Matt, was working with another customer. Matt states that it likely did take him longer than he would have liked to find another salesperson to help you and Indy Auto Man sincerely apologizes for that delay. It is always our intent to help all customers courteously and promptly. We make every effort to be mindful of others time constraints. Indy Auto Man does not have "jr. associates"as you stated in your review. Matt asked another sales associate to assist you while he continued working with his original customers. The other associate did retrieve the car you came to see in a timely manner. Indy Auto Man always welcomes customers to stop in unannounced to look at our inventory. However, appointments are recommended so that each customer can be treated with the individual attention you deserve. Matt was simply continuing to work with the folks who had arrived prior to you as they had a scheduled appointment. The vehicle you came to see is at the lowest price point in our inventory. As such, the car is not in excellent but rather fair condition. We use a Kelley Blue Book grading system to rate our vehicles to help manage expectations for our customers. While this particular car admittedly is not perfect, at the price point it is a good value. The mechanical issues with the car are not exactly what you stated. We are aware that the fuel sensor is not working and we informed you of that prior to your test drive. We have a fuel sensor on order and will install it when it arrives. The check engine light is due to the fuel sensor malfunction. This is not a complicated issue. We have not been made aware of any turbo issue with this car upon earlier inspections but are sending it through a mechanical inspection again to be sure. The car is absolutely not a "mechanical nightmare" as you asserted, and are left to wonder what qualifications you have to make a statement like that. You readily admit in your review that you "have no way of knowing..." which leads one to assume you have no mechanical expertise. The key fob case is taped together and a new one has been ordered. Unfortunately this was the condition of the fob when the car was traded in to us and it does take some time to get new parts from the manufacturer. Indy Auto Man is always willing to work with customers by replacing parts if the customer wishes, or negotiating the price and allowing the customer to purchase the car at a savings. After you test drove this one car and returned the keys you did leave abruptly. We have over 280 cars on our lot but apparently you did not think it was worth your time to look at anything else, instead assuming that none of the cars would be up to your standards. When you assert certain things such as "Jr. sales associates" "mechanical nightmare" or "paying off someone on the judging committee" after we have won numerous awards and accolades for excellent customer service and inventory quality, it at best reduces your credibility and at worst would cause some to think that maybe your review should be read with a heavy dose of skepticism.
