I HAVE READ A LOT OF REVIEWS FOR THIS DEALERSHIP (GOOD & BAD), BUT HAVE TO ADMIT THAT SOME OF THE BADS ONES WERE KIND OF CRAZY. BEING IN THE PEOPLE SERVICE FIELD, YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT YOU CAN NEVER MAK BAD), BUT HAVE TO ADMIT THAT SOME OF THE BADS ONES WERE KIND OF CRAZY. BEING IN THE PEOPLE SERVICE FIELD, YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT YOU CAN NEVER MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY ALL THE TIME. I AM SURE THAT AT SOMETIME I WILL ALSO EXPERIENCE A DISAPOINTMENT, BUT YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE. I VISITED 3 DEALERSHIPS AND IRA TOYOTA OF DANVERS TREATED ME THE BEST WITH A NEW SALE. THE 2010 TACOMA WAS WHAT I WANTED AND IN THE END THE SALE WENT SMOOTHLY. IT WAS NOT ON THE LOT, BUT RICKY ARORA GOT A "SWAP" FROM ANOTHER DEALER FOR ME, SO I COULD GET IT IN A REASONALBE TIME. THAT MOVE GOT MY APPRECIATION. RICKY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. AFTER HAGLING ABOUT A DEPOSIT (A LITTLE PRESSURE), WE BOTH CAME TO AN AGREEMENT WITH A PRICE I WAS HAPPY WITH (SINCE I DID SOME RESEARCH ON LINE). BRUCE THE SALES MGR WAS ALSO FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. WITH FINANCING, I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE LOWER THAN EXPECTED RATE, AND OTHER REBATES I RECEIVED WITH THE PURCHASE. I DID WANT A COUPLE OF OPTIONS, THAT WERE TO BE ORDERED, AND IRA CAME THROUGH WITH THEIR PROMISE OF THE PICK UP DATE. I WAS ORIGINALLY TOLD THEY HAD TO ORDER SOME PARTS, AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO BRING THE TRUCK BACK FOR INSTALL, BUT LOW AND BEHOLD THE PARTS WERE INSTALLED ON THE TRUCK THE DAY I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE. THIS MOVE ALSO RECEIVED MY APPRECIATION. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP. CUDOS TO RICKY, BRUCE AND RICH IN FINANCE FOR A JOB WELL DONE. HOPEFULLY, MY SERVICE VISITS GO AS SMOOTHLY AS THE PURCHASE. I had a great experience buying a certified used Toyota at this dealership. I found the car I wanted on AutoTrader.com, and was extremely pleased when I showed up at this dealership and found out that the at this dealership. It was a very good deal. My salesperson was Walter Vogul, and he actually made it fun to buy a new car. He spoke English to me, Spanish to my husband, made me popcorn and bought me lunch! Walter kept me up-to-date when he realized the car title would not arrive for a couple of weeks, so I never felt like I didn't know what was going on. The finance manager, Matt, was also very helpful in getting me approved without a great credit score, for which I'm very grateful. In fact, everyone in the dealership was kind! Everyone wants to make sure you are comfortable, you have water, you're being helped, etc. I would absolutely send any friend of mine to this dealership! I love my new car! More
I went in to trade my 2010 Subaru Legacy for a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. This review will be in two sections. 1) Working with Walter and 2) the vehicle itself. Walter was able to show me exactly what I was looking for in very short order. I love the vehicle! I was able to get a fairly good trade value for my vehicle and they were able to come down on the price a bit on the truck. Walter is wonderful! He is friendly, exuberant, honest, funny, and incredibly caring. The most amazing thing to me was how he detected my hispanic background and immediately switched to Spanish. Not that he needed to, but it made me feel much more comfortable. Walter also speaks 6 other languages in case you want to know. Ranging from Italian to Romanian! Amazing. Every time I walked in, within 2 minutes I had a cold diet pepsi waiting for me! The vehicle needed a few touch ups that needed to be taken care of before I was able to take it...paint chips etc. I then had to bring the vehicle back to have it cleaned. It really smelled badly of cigarette smoke. They put the ionizer in it for a full day and detailed it. That still did not take care of it. I had to finally scrub the vehicle inside myself. It still smells a bit, but I'm used to it now. I will have to keep working the problem. Overall, a good experience on the sale side, but the vehicle needed a bit of work...some on my part. I would recommend Walter to the highest degree! He is a great guy and I feel that I have made a good friend in the process. I'll come visit you Walter next time I'm around Danvers! Ricardo More
After one month of looking for a car and visiting many delearships (Woburn Toyota, Herb Chambers, Arlington Hyundai,Rockingham Toyota, Lexington Toyota, Bonnell Ford) and being either dismissed and/or tot delearships (Woburn Toyota, Herb Chambers, Arlington Hyundai,Rockingham Toyota, Lexington Toyota, Bonnell Ford) and being either dismissed and/or totally ignored, the entire experience was extremely stressful. Here I was stuck with a rental car not knowing where I could go next. Then I found IRA and more importantly Walter Vogel. As soon as I stepped out of my rental car, Walter came over with his friendly smile and gentle manner. As we talked, I immediately felt at ease and finally I found someone who was going to help me. Walter listened carefully, asked questions making me feel he was really intersted in finding a car for me. He proceeded to show me a car he thought I had in mind. Little did he know, the minute I saw the car (before we took it for a test drive) it was exactally what I was looking for, if IRA could install a moonroof. Walter assured me there would be no problem installing the moonroof. He was right!! I have my moonroof and love the car. I couldn't be happier. Being in sales myself for the past 30 yrs, my experience with Walter and Ira Toyota was a pleasure. Walter Vogel is a consumate professional and exemplifies what customer service is and should be. My mother was looking for a car to use when she comes and visits us from Florida for the summer. After an extremely bad experience at another dealer we came to Ira Toyota of Danvers and met Walter. He greeted us almost immediatley once we got there, he listened to what my mother wanted and could afford and showed her a beautiful 2005 Scion. Once we finished with the test drive he took us back to his desk offered us a water and made us feel very relaxed. He asked us if we had anything to trade in and I offered up my 2000 Volvo that had been giving us some minor problems but still ran fine. It had been sitting all winter and needed a new battery so I figured that I would have to go out and buy a new one. Walter grabbed a charger, hopped in my car and came home with me to jump start it. When we got back he even offered to get me and my mother a sandwich while we waited. In the end my mom got exactly what she wanted, Walter went above and beyond what we expected from a salesman and I would definetley recommend this dealer to anyone who is looking for a great deal and a great car. Go and see my friend Walter he'll get you what you need. More
I came to the dealership for a purchase and they pushed I came to the dealership for a purchase and they pushed me a LEASE. I ask to see in writing all the things they said to me and my wife about how I came to the dealership for a purchase and they pushed me a LEASE. I ask to see in writing all the things they said to me and my wife about how good a LEASE was for us instead of a Purchase, they kept changing the subject. Finally after me insisting on reading all those Leasing promises they talked about in writing they told me the financial guy will show them to me the writing. Once speaking with the financial guy he offer me a better percentage and a lower monthly payment than my bank but only if I Lease. After 6 hours in that dealership, still nothing that will show me what they promised. Every time I asked to read the Lease contract he said that Toyota want to get people back into the dealerships and It was been flexible in every aspect of it, bla bla bla, then he stepped out of the office many many many times to evade me reading the Lease contract. We were tire, mentally tire and even very hungry I just signed to be over with. NEXT DAY AT HOME I SAT DOWN TO READ THE LEASE CONTRACT JUST TO FIND OUT I GOT ROBBED IN MY FACE BY "IRA TOYOTA" IN DENVER,MA 6/2010 WITH A PEN AND GUERRILLA STYLE. JUST READ A LEASE CONTRACT SPECIALLY THE "FEES PARTS" THEY WILL NOT CANCEL THIS CONTRACT EVEN BEFORE TAKING DELIVERY OF THE CAR EITHER. DID I WANT THIS? NO, NO, NO. I WANT A PURCHASE NOT A LEASE. THIS IS WHAT THEY PUSHED ME AND THEY STEAL FROM ME AS THEY MAY SOON FROM YOU TOO. THANK IRA TOYOTA FOR MAKING ME HATE MY LEASE CAR EVERYDAY I LOOK AT IT. More

Found the car I was looking for online and went to dealer to see it. Quickly met Walter--very personable, friendly and a little over the top. Car was prepped well but could have been cleaner--soda still in carpets and in bottoms of cup holders and previous owner must have had a pet dog judging by the odor. I had a price in mind when I went in and they even went lower. There was only a little of the car-dealer tactics such as when they said someone else was also interested in the car but quickly accepted my offer after the manager was consulted. Overall am very happy with the experience and car so far. More

I had looked up the car some where and had prepared to the talk to the salesman Ricky. It felt like it was a very fair process for the customer - the dealer was making some profit, but not fleecing you. Salesman Ricky and business Manager Nick were absolutely honest, professional and humble. I also thought the dealer service was great & went beyond the call of normal duty The car I bought last month, and the salesman personally came on Sunday morning to show every thing about my new car and to deliver. Car was registered with new license plates, inspection sticker and full tank of gas. That moment was very great. Next time I buy a Toyota I will definitely go to Ira Toyota of Danvers and I will definitely recommend to anyone else looking for a Toyota to make sure see Ricky Aurora before you buy Toyota. She helped me set up a on-site visit, and this, thanks to sale associate Gary Cooper, was a pleasure. We bought a car during the visit, and actually enjoyed the time spent with both Gary and the accountant Michael, who took us quickly and clearly through the paper work. For the first time in my car-buying experience, we were not treated to high-pressure tactics, and manipulativeness. Kudos to Ira Toyota for its customer service! Our new car, named Penelope for her blond good looks and shrewd handling, is proving a pleasure to drive. We heartily recommend Ira Toyota to anyone in the market for a Toyoyta, and plan to return ourselves when the need arises. More
