As it turns out, water intrusion was caused by a bad seal. That is a manufacturers defect and not the responsibility of the owner.. the fact is, I assured you that I had not driven into any rivers or been flooded, but you insisted on focusing on the fact that my sunroof may have been open during a rain shower, which wet the seats. You told me you could not replicate the problem, but I’m not sure how that’s relevant when you don’t put a new part in to see what happens. Anyway, the problem was behind the dash and if there were leakage from the sunroof, then that’s a seal issue in the frame around the windshield. The odd and dismaying part of all this is that you put the burden on me to show It wasn’t my fault. The burden should’ve been on the manufacturer or the dealer. In addition the finger pointing between you and the manufacturer as to who was calling the shots was also troubling. Someone wasn’t telling the truth. Finally, you had the graciousness to give me a rental car but halfway through all this you were saying because it was not a warranty issue you were going to make me pay for the car. That strikes me as grasping and inappropriate. You did change your tune later, but only after the recall.
