My dashboard had been going out for over 6 months in my car's over 2 years old. The dealership took some time in trying to figure out the problem and eventually told me it was my problem and not a warranty car's over 2 years old. My rep was great and the service manager was very pleasant. But ultimately they did not take my side and were going to charge me for the repair. They courteously informed me that I should contact Toyota Customer service which I did and got an unbelievably helpful rep quickly. I told him my story and he thought it odd that it wasn't a warranty Repair and then quickly informed me that there was a recall on this issue just Issued. My car was then fixed and and all is Well. My problem is that the dealership Did not seem to be on my side as they were trying to"replicate" the problem and they could not. Because they could not Figure out the cause of the problem they laid it at my feet. Again they said Toyota drove their decision but Toyota Central informed me quickly They did not and would not have denied my repair. Also one would think that the dealer would have known of the recall even if they came out several days before. More
They didn't have my part in stock. I set up an appointment to come back. New service area is very nice. My wait time was 35 minutes. Was surprised. Al Patel went over all my questions with patience. My recent visit to this dealership was unfortunately disappointing from start to finish. This was my second time coming here for service. The only reason I returned was because my first visit had been e disappointing from start to finish. This was my second time coming here for service. The only reason I returned was because my first visit had been excellent thanks to the professionalism of my original service advisor. Sadly, this time was the complete opposite. The service advisor (Denise) I worked with on this occasion was abrasive and dismissive. She consistently interrupted me mid-sentence when I tried to explain the service I needed, and her demeanor made me feel as though my presence was an inconvenience. When I attempted to clarify my requests, she gave the impression that I was speaking a foreign language. While I hoped her attitude might improve, even her follow-up call the next day was curt and difficult to engage with. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, the checkout process was similarly disappointing. After being handed my keys, I was left to wander the lot to locate my car on my own. A small gesture such as escorting customers to their vehicles would greatly improve the overall experience and demonstrate a stronger commitment to customer care. It’s worth noting that I was presented with a number of additional service recommendations. With a more professional and customer-focused approach, I likely would have considered approving some of them. Instead, the lack of courtesy and effort left me unwilling to move forward with anything beyond the bare minimum. To be candid, if the service at the Toyota dealership in Lynn, MA, weren’t significantly worse, I would not consider returning to this location. More
