Mixed bag I brought my 08 Tacoma in for a warranty frame replacement. It took a long time (not the dealership's fault). But, I brought the truck in while there I brought my 08 Tacoma in for a warranty frame replacement. It took a long time (not the dealership's fault). But, I brought the truck in while there was still salt on the roads. They never ran it through their car wash, they just left it to rust. As a result of this, my brake rotors were VERY rusty.they "polished" the rotors. It was easy to feel there was a lot of metal taken off the rotor. When I went to drive it, the brakes were VERY mushy. I had to press the pedal almost to the firewall before they would start to work. It felt VERY unsafe. I told them about it. They said they would take care of it. They replaced a caliper. The brakes felt EXACTLY the same. I do not feel safe in the truck. They had 2 tries to make it right, and failed. I do not feel safe bringing it back to them to fix, so I will pay my regular mechanic to replace the rotors and pads, as Hyannis Toyota should have done in the first place. On the other hand Dan in the Rental Department was absolutely top notch. He was very helpful to me throughout the experience. More
