Trailer Hitch When it was time to put a trailer hitch on my 2018 CRV, I checked around to find the best hitch for my car. I checked a couple of places and Uhaul ga When it was time to put a trailer hitch on my 2018 CRV, I checked around to find the best hitch for my car. I checked a couple of places and Uhaul gave me a great price. But I was not convinced that they would do as good a job as JLFreed's service dept. The mechanic at the Uhaul told me that the installation wouldn't be difficult but when I asked about the wiring, he told me he had no idea since he hadn't put one on a late model Honda. That brought me back to Freed to check on a hitch and harness. I've been a loyal customer for years and the service dept. has always taken care of my cars. While the price of the hitch and harness is more costly, I felt that it was worth the price to have the job done right. More

Worst experience ever. I chose the body shop at JL Freed after receiving minor collision damage to my leased vehicle. My lease expired 3/31 (today) and I made it clear from I chose the body shop at JL Freed after receiving minor collision damage to my leased vehicle. My lease expired 3/31 (today) and I made it clear from the time of scheduling (I called in February and got a March 19 appt) that this was the case and it was stressful to me. I initally had an appointment with another body shop but changed it to JL Freed because I was told by Diane that I would receive $100 off of my deductible charge for choosing the dealership where I purchased my vehicle. This was the ONLY reason I changed the appointment. While Diane and Steve always spoke nicely on the phone, that was the only positive thing that I can say of the experience. When I was promised updates, noone ever called. When I expressed concern about my end lease date approaching and asked for solutions about what to do about this, I was promised a call from Steve to discuss my options, and never received one. I called every other day for updates myself and feel that if I hadn't, the process would have moved even more slowly. Receiving no help from the dealership, I called Honda Financial Services who listened to my lease end problem and granted me a 10 day extension on my lease and said if needed they would consider extending my lease by one month if necessary. Finally, on March 29, I received a call that I could come pick up my car. But half an hour later I received a call that I COULD NOT come pick up my car! Apparently there was an insurance check in the mail and I had to receive it and sign it over to the dealership before I could pick up the vehicle. The check arrived on March 30. I went to JL Freed to pick up my vehicle. I was floored when I found out they did not give me the lousy $100 off my deductible that I was promised!!!! The associate at the desk told me there was nothing she could do about it and I could pay it or not take the car. She said I could call Steve about it on Monday. Ha. I explained my whole story and she took my information and said she would have a service manager call me. Prior to this all of my experiences with JL Freed have been great. But this one has really soured me. I had every intention of leasing again or even purchasing a new vehicle from JL Freed... More
