Jim Hughs is the best car dealer my husband and I have ever met. From the moment my husband contacted him, about our interest in a 2012 Passat TDI, we received the greatest and most personable service. He ever met. He made us feel as though we were the most important customers he had. Not once did we feel any pressure to purchase a vehicle. He cared more about helping us make the right choice then he did about selling us a car. Jim was not only was extremely knowledgeable on all the Volkswagen vehicles, but also organized and friendly. His level of honesty and integrity far surpasses that of the areas local dealerships. My husband and I have a very hectic schedule and he showed his level of commitment by making himself available to answer my husband’s questions late in the evening and on the weekends. On a day that most people wouldn’t even consider working, Sunday, he answered my husband’s numerous phone calls requesting more information on the Passat we were interested in purchasing and the vehicle we were planning on trading in. More importantly he walked us through the purchasing process and gave us an extremely generous offer on our trade in vehicle. That is something we were not expecting. Overall we had a wonderful experience working with Jim Hughs and the Jack Ingram family. Both my husband and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone interested in purchasing a Volkswagen. The service personnel were interested in being paid via telephone, but they did not complete the work on my vehicle as promised. They had my car 2 weeks and when I drove 2 hours to pick it up, they had no telephone, but they did not complete the work on my vehicle as promised. This was our second stop of a day that started out to be a try numerous vehicles out for size but we're not sorry we stopped here. The salesman (Rick Murray) was excellent and the car (2011 Gold TDI) is wo a try numerous vehicles out for size but we're not sorry we stopped here. The salesman (Rick Murray) was excellent and the car (2011 Gold TDI) is wonderful. Everyone we dealt with that day were nice and friendly and seemed to know their jobs well. If I had one complaint it would be that I felt that our trade in was undervalued as it was in pristine condition and we should have gotten a bit more from it. Other than that I would give them high marks. More

I was in the market for a new GTI and had contacted several dealers to see who could give me the best deal when I received a call from Rick Murray at Jack Ingram Volkswagen. Being from Birmingham, I was hesitant about purchasing a vehicle out of town. But Rick got the exact car I wanted along with a great deal. My husband and I got to the dealership on Saturday on our way out of town on vacation. Rick was not working but he put us in the more than capable hands of Jim Hughes. Jim had everything ready and put together for the best car buying experience I've ever had! Jim took his time and showed me all the details of the car as well as setting up my bluetooth phone and the satellite radio. Everyone we dealt with at the dealership was friendly and very professional. I will defiantly recommend them to my family and friends for their future car purchases. I could not be more pleased. In 2009/early 2010, Service dept at Jack Ingram made things quite pleasant. The staff was professional, upfront with costs and prompt. I have no clue where they are today but hopefully are at better pay things quite pleasant. The staff was professional, upfront with costs and prompt. I have no clue where they are today but hopefully are at better paying jobs. The fools they have now could not operate a lemonade stand correctly. Costs are NOT explained up front, services rendered one day have to be repaired yet again another day, you had BETTER know your vehicle because chances are they DO NOT, and updates/further contact once they have your car hostage? Good luck with that. They tell you one time it will be ready, fail to produce on said time and then lie TO YOUR FACE about what they told you. What is wrong with admitting things took longer than expected or things happen? Jack Ingram VW, the ONLY thing you are 'excellent' about is driving THIS unsatisfied customer away to find a better customer-service oriented dealership. You were a convenient location for work and base; now you are just an 'excellect' example of where NOT TO GO. Your desire to be 'excellent' needs more than just a 'want to'; you need the people with the drive to DO SO. More
In relation to a previous survey answered my response was more to the length of time taken than the overall dealership itself. I do realize my time of purchase was on a Friday and to most places of business more to the length of time taken than the overall dealership itself. I do realize my time of purchase was on a Friday and to most places of business "after hours." However, the staff I dealt with was most courteous and gracious enough to stay the extra time to get the purchase complete. I am very happy with my purchase and would most definitely recommend the dealership to family & friends who are in the market for purchasing a pre-owned or new vehicle. More
