Worst service, worst diagnostic workup ever! The Jack Madden service center deserves a negative number, not one star. My 23 year old daughter recently took her 2018 Ford 150 4X4 in with an odd electrical issue. One day the truck did not start, totally dead, battery was fine. AAA got the truck running by completing an electrical connection to the solonoid and told her to take it to a Ford dealer for service. The truck was diagnosed with a bad transmission and recommended having the transmission replaced for $10,000! The truck had no history of transmission problems. When we showed up we paid the $189 diagnostic fee and requested the paperwork on the vehicle. There was no paperwork ready. We had to wait nearly 40 minutes for the technician to write up a report form the day before. In the report there was no transmission issue noted on the drive test. There was a bad code for a range sensor in the transmission. The range sensor is a $27 part. It is a labor intensive job that could end up costing about $1,000. When we asked why repairing the range sensor was not recommended (never mind they weren't even going to tell us that this was the issue - only that we had a bad transmission), we were told that one thing could lead to another and in the end the cheaper way to go was to replace the transmission. More than $10,000! We took the truck to a real transmission shop that diagnosed a bad wire but when they started the job realized that it was only a bad electrical connection to the transmission. The truck is fine and we saved $10,000 by not taking the advice of Jack Madden Ford. We will never, ever go back there and neither should anyone else. More
If there were negative stars, that's what I would give. I made an appointment to complete warranty work - replace running boards, rear camera, and a little back gate rubber bumper. Was not looked at that day. Second day, looked at and needed to wait two weeks to get the part, third day dropped the car off and the work was not completed. THREE DAYS and NOTHING was done. More
Just terrible in every sense of the word. I've been in for service a number of time now and had good-ish experiences. The usual dealer thing of an appointment for an oil change that takes 2 hours, but hey, at least the free wifi is slow and terrible, right? Made my appointment three weeks ago for my visit which included an oil change and one of my recalls. The other recall was one of those have to come in, then we can order, then you can come back run a rounds, but hey, it's a dealer, right? So, when I arrive today I'm asked if I'm dropping off. I had let the scheduler know I'd be waiting because Jack Madden doesn't have loaners and you know, it's Monday and people have to work? I asked how long the wait would be- 7 hours. Mind you, Ford quotes the time to do the recall at 0.4 hours. I took the morning off for this service, not the entire day, so guess it's a no go on getting my recall done today. When the oil change is done, they have the guts to tell me it's going to be $110. For an oil change and nothing more. The last two visits I paid $53 and $65. The reason for the upcharge? I didn't get the works package. Cool. As I'm paying and checking out I see there's a listing for a multi-point inspection but there's no paperwork. I asked, the tech was called and the report I got back? "He said everything looks fine". Cool. $110 worth of cool. Looks like I'm never going back here. Ah well. There's always another dealer to give a shot. More
Was mislead on the listed price of a car. Spoke with 3 different representatives, wasn’t informed of a $10k market adjustment until I got to the dealership. ** Be aware Works package is not honored*** This must be the only dealer in the state of Mass that does not honor the Works service package. Vehicle has been serviced here since purchasing. Scheduled ap be the only dealer in the state of Mass that does not honor the Works service package. Vehicle has been serviced here since purchasing. Scheduled appointment, asked specifically for works service which for the last 3 years has been around 65.00$ and confirmed. As soon as I show up the service person says the works has been split into to services which will be 115.00$. Called 3 local dealers in the vicinity and they all honor the works at 65. Very shady practice to lure costumers and charge them almost double. One way to loose a costumer for sure. More
Service was excellent, price is reasonable, and Amber is a credit to your company. Was disappointed to see the ADM on the cars in the showroom. I would be satisfied if everyone paid MSRP on all vehicles, b a credit to your company. Was disappointed to see the ADM on the cars in the showroom. I would be satisfied if everyone paid MSRP on all vehicles, but gouging customers, do to supply shortages, gives me a negative feeling toward the dealership. Hope you change your policy before you anger too many people, and lose their future business. More
My experience at Jack Madden Ford was terrible. My salesman Robert is a "typical used car salesman". Even though I was looking at a new vehicle. He was rude, lied to me, made to feel foolish, and tre salesman Robert is a "typical used car salesman". Even though I was looking at a new vehicle. He was rude, lied to me, made to feel foolish, and treated me disrespectfully. I discussed this with the General Sales Manager Sean...he said he'd look into it and call me back - he never bothered called me back. Beware...if you're not new car savvy...look elsewhere. This is a bait and switch dealership. I should have read all the negative one star reviews on YELP prior to speaking with these people. Apparently - this is common behavior. More
