Went in prepared to buy a car that was advertised on line. (It took a day and half for them to contact me) At first site everyone was pleasant and friendly. That quickly changed the next day. I came with prior bank approval, but " we can get you a better rate" we will call you early afternoon the next day, The call never came in and I had to call them. Many times. That should have been when I walked away! When I finally got a call it was to ask me to get more money. So five minutes on the phone with my bank and bam, 5 grand more. I call and let the dealer know. I was informed that " their" bank would not approve me. Can you call and get even more money. NO I tell them my bottom line is firm as I said yesterday during our first encounter. OK no problem, let me call you back. NO CALL BACK. Again I call them! Very frustrating!!!! The last call I say ok you cant meet my price, that's fine, I will walk, plenty of dealers around for cars. Another call from salesman, can you come in and go over deal, I say I didn't think we had one. No that's not so, can you come in and go over the deal. I say yes, and make an appointment. Ten minutes later another call, can you make it an hour later. I say no problem. I get to the dealer ON TIME. Promptly shown to a desk and told my sales person would be just a few minutes. Over Twenty minutes later still waiting. When he finally comes over I say I was just getting ready to leave, and he promptly says well lets talk, Can you get more money from the bank? I say I thought we had a deal and reminded him of our phone discussion. He say " oh no we like to do this in person", When I say he just left me sitting over twenty minutes and misinformed me on why I was asked to come back in the salesman tells me to " calm down" REALLY. Calm DOWN. Is this the same salesman who informed me the day before he doesn't make a salary, Jaffarian pays commission only! The same on person who left me sitting for over twenty minutes, who's excuse is " everyone is running late today" I Think NOT. How RUDE can you be! I definitely would not recommend this dealer. NOTHING BUT LIP SERVICE! What a major DISAPPOINTMENT. More
After visiting other non Toyota dealerships looking for a small SUV lease for my wife, we came back to Jaffarian again. I entered the dealership without knowledge of any of its employees. My first contact was with Mike Kemp who greeted me in a pleasant and laid back manner, much different and greatly appreciated from some ex employees. My first contact was with Mike Kemp who greeted me in a pleasant and laid back manner, much different and greatly appreciated from some experiences at other dealerships. Mike and I had a relaxed conversation of what I was interested in purchasing, and he presented my options in a very clear and detailed manner. He escorted me to various locations on site, showed me a number of vehicles and explained in very knowledgeable and non confrontational terms the best each offered. Next, we took a very comfortable test ride and since I have owned five Camrys since 1984 I was quickly convinced that the 2013 Camry XLE was the car I was looking to purchase. I was happy with my dealings with Mike. However, because of my experiences with other dealers, I was fearful of the next step in the process, one all buyers experience, the arrival of the General Manager who was going to present to me a whole different playing field. Wow, what a surprise! Mile and I were joined by Jaffarian General Manager Jonathan Russo who not only convinced me that everything Mike related was accurate but that he was going to do everything in his power to ensure that I got everything I wanted at a fair price. Although I was convinced that Jaffarian wanted my business I told Mike and Jonathan that I wanted time to think over their offer. I was told to take my time and if I had any questions to call. No high pressure was present with these folks. Several days later I returned, selected the color of my vehicle, completed the sales agreement and was introduced to the service manager and staff. On the day I picked up my new Camry I sat with Sarkis Shamshoyan who expressed his appreciation on behalf of the Jaffarian family and once again I was sure, after dealing with four other Toyota dealerships, I had made the right decision. I showed up a couple of days befoe I made my purchase. I picked the car we wanted and when I met mike he had that same vehicle, I knew I wanted the Rav 4. This was my second new car I have purchased from Jaffarian. I got a fair deal on both of my cars and was treated with respect. Everyone worked very hard to get me into my new car and drive out th Jaffarian. I got a fair deal on both of my cars and was treated with respect. Sean Sullivan, the saleman, took time to get to know us a bit before showing us a car. The one he selected for us to test drive was the one we purchased. Good choice, Sean! It was a busy day at the dealership and Sean kept us posted as to what was happening with our deal. When we had to leave for an appointment, we arranged to come back the following day to do the final paperwork, and this was done in a timely manner. Car shopping is not something we look forward to, but Sean made it almost painless. While we had hoped for more money for our trade-in,we are okay with the final price and we are quite pleased with our new 2013 RAV4! More
