Please beware. I inquired about a truck on this dealership’s used lot. I own several Dodge Ram trucks and have extensive knowledge of these vehicles. Unfortunate I inquired about a truck on this dealership’s used lot. I own several Dodge Ram trucks and have extensive knowledge of these vehicles. Unfortunately, my experience with salesperson Sergey Kavalersky was extremely disappointing from the start. During our initial text conversation, I felt I was spoken to as though I was uneducated about trucks. Sergey told me we couldn’t have a productive discussion because I had not yet seen or driven the truck. He also stated that they had 24 leads on the vehicle and seemed more interested in talking numbers than answering my questions. His communication came across as arrogant and dismissive. My husband encouraged me to at least go look at the truck in person. When I arrived, I carefully inspected the vehicle and immediately noticed several concerns. While looking underneath the truck, I wiped my hand along the backside of a tire and found a significant amount of brake dust. I asked Sergey about the condition of the brakes and received no answer. During the test drive, I was never allowed to drive above 30 mph, which prevented me from properly checking the alignment. I also asked if there was a place nearby where I could test the 4x4 system and was told no. After returning to the dealership, Sergey appeared more concerned about discussing the closing on his new home and getting home for the day than addressing my questions about the truck. I asked whether the truck came with a second key and again received no answer. While reviewing the vehicle history, I discovered that the catalytic converter and diesel particulate filter had both been replaced at only 29,000 miles. These are expensive components, and their replacement at such low mileage raised serious concerns. When I asked why these repairs were necessary, I received no explanation. If you’re looking for a dealership that dismisses concerns and undermines customers, this may be the place for you. The truck was for me. I was the person who initially inquired about it. However, when Sergey didn’t get the response he wanted from me, he began contacting my husband instead. The following Monday, he called my husband twice with different offers. My husband explained that we were no longer interested due to the numerous red flags surrounding the truck. Apparently dissatisfied with that answer, Sergey called me the next day and asked whether my husband had told me about the deal he could offer. I explained that I was unhappy with the service I received and was no longer interested in the truck for the same reasons my husband had already communicated. My husband and I are on the same page, so I found it inappropriate that Sergey seemed to be attempting to work around one spouse after receiving an answer from the other. Throughout the process, I felt that my knowledge and concerns were repeatedly dismissed. As a woman with experience and understanding of these vehicles, I found the treatment both disrespectful and unprofessional. To make matters worse, the finance manager later called asking if there was anything he could do to earn my business. I explained the issues I had experienced, but he also had no information regarding the truck’s history or the concerns I had raised. It left me wondering how a dealership can attempt to sell a vehicle when no one seems able to answer basic questions beyond what is displayed on a computer screen. I’m sure this review will receive the standard response about how sorry they are and how the matter will be addressed internally. However, that does not change how I was treated throughout this process. I am writing this review simply to help other women and wives avoid having a similar experience. More
