The customer service was outstanding and Mr. Daniels and Ms. Roberts attended to my daughter, son in law and myself as if we were the only customers in the place. We ended the sale by each treating ourselves to a specially prepared Panini and drinks from the little restaurant there. What an awesome experience. Bad Experience/False Advertising and still not updated I received a call from Heather 5 minutes after reviewing car on CarGurus via my iPhone. I did not sign-in/ request information but CarGurus privacy po I received a call from Heather 5 minutes after reviewing car on CarGurus via my iPhone. I did not sign-in/ request information but CarGurus privacy policy captures all your data including phone number & sends the data to 3rd party.I scheduled time 2 days later on 12/31/18. I received a text in the morning from Sales Manager Austin Murray confirming. Heather must work at the national call center & the local Jay Wolfe dealership was not prepared for my appointment. When I arrived and stood at the front desk - the receptionist was looking at her phone and I stood there and the receptionist never looked up. I waved down someone and asked for Greg who Austin asked that I request. They did not initially know who Greg was because he goes by a nickname. Greg was assigned to me but was given no information about my visit- not my name, phone number or even the car I was scheduled to test drive. When he went to look up the car - he could not even find the car in the system but it's on the Jay Wolfe Tiffany Springs location website. Greg was embarrassed and knew nothing about my visit so this review is not a bad reflection on Greg. I think Greg did a GREAT job given the circumstances. Greg found out the car was in an accident - sustained over $12,000 damage but the Carfax had not reported it yet but he did not feel it was appropriate to not let me know. The dealership had all the documentation from Shelter Insurance about all the repairs made but this was never put in their system & car has been on market since 11/30/2018 - 31 days . It was originally listed more than it was the day I was there. I double checked on the dealer website to make sure this was not a mistake on CarGurus and website noted on 12/13/2018 Maintenance inspection completed, Four wheel alignment performed, Cabin air filter replaced/cleaned. Vehicle washed/detailed. On 12/19/18 Title or registration issued. No report of Accident. Nothing on dealer website about the car being in an accident and if Greg had not showed it to me - I would have never known. The dealership has a detailed report of all the repairs made to the car. I would guess that because it's not on Carfax - they would not be violating any rules except ethically this is just wrong. Despite the deception - we made an offer taking into consideration diminished value on commonly accepted formula (spouse is insurance industry) however the dealership would not drop the price from their market rate as if the car had not been in an accident. That is certainly their choice but now that management absolutely knows the car has been in an accident - their website has not been updated with this information and they are still trying to sell the car as accident free. I was happy that Greg did not want to hide this information but shame on Jay Wolfe for knowing about this and still not disclosing this information just because CarFax does not have the information yet. Checking the website after my visit the next day - still no update about the accident but they did have time to lower the price $363 from $32,210 to $31,847. Why did they not update the accident report? I understand that sometimes things go wrong and customer service and communication may get missed and would not even have added that to my review but misleading information about your automobiles even after knowing it is not true not to update information is just unethical and Jay Wolfe should not be allowed to get away with it without someone saying something. 2019 Rav4 Went in to Jay Wolfe after filling out a TrueCar profile through my bank. Heather called us within seconds of submitting the paperwork and assured us we could use the car buying service even though 2019s weren't listed on the website yet. Dave Mapel met us at the door and stayed with us for over 8 hours as we looked at and test drove almost every 2019 Rav4 he had in stock. We eventually decided on the Rav4 they had on display in the showroom. Dave and the management team made us an extremely generous offer on my beater trade-in, even though I'm sure they're going to just tow it to the salvage yard. Dustin in the finance office was very knowledgeable about the products he was offering and managed to get my original TrueCar lead sheet from the internet sales department in order to get me a better bank rate. After our new Rav4 was delivered, Dave came back and spent another hour with us going over every single feature the new car had. Although we have two add-on items waiting to be scheduled for installation (remote start and special paint work) Dave has remained in contact with us and kept us informed on the process. The time between making a deal and going to the finance office was a little long, but that was easily compensated for with the great lounge area and free food Jay Wolfe offered in their cafeteria. Dave was extremely patient and knowledgeable, and not once throughout the entire process did we feel the typical car salesman pressure. All in all a great visit. More
