We would like to apologize for any misunderstandings that may have taken place during your experience with our dealership. We spoke with the manager and he believes the problems occurred when the transaction switched from the originally quoted vehicle to one with a different trim level. Not all trim levels are priced the same from the factory therefore not all vehicles can be discounted the same. We apologize that this was not explained to you clearly at the time of your visit. We also apologize for any mistakes we may have made and we will do our best to make sure that a situation like this does not occur in the future.

I understood the difference in the trim levels. What I don't understand is how Scott took over trying to sell me on things I didn't want when I went in to deal with Aubrey. Because of Scott's unwillingness to listen to me telling him I did not want the extended warranty OR the Gap insurance, and he kept raining the price. I will not recommend anyone ever do business with Jeff Wyler Auto Group anywhere. I will in fact tell EVERYONE what a scam this place is. This is a classic bait-and-switch tactic. I asked for a quote on the S model online. Scott responded with a quote on the X trim level. I went in initially not seeing that Scott had switched the trim level and started to negotiate IN GOOD FAITH. Scott did not offer me the same courtesy. This is reprehensible behavior. Just so you know I bout the Exact Same Vehicle, in the S trim package, at another dealer THAT SAME DAY. And they met my price expectations.

I see why you would be upset. I spoke with the manager again and he admitted it was his fault because I guess when you put in the information request online, he did not have a S model in stock so he had you quoted a X and that was never explained to you. The extended service and the gap are optional products and should not have anything to do with the price of the vehicle. I appreciate your honest feedback, without it, we wouldn't be able to correct these types of issues. I am sorry you had to go through this experience and I am glad you were able to receive help even though it was not from us. I know there is nothing we can do to change what has happened or your opinion of us but I want you to know that we are truly sorry and we will do all we can to keep this from happening again. Thank you once again for your honesty and good luck with your new xTerra.

It was our fault that we quoted you the wrong trim level and that we did not make it clear what vehicle we were pricing. We are also sorry for the confusion involving the optional GAP protection and optional extended service contract.
