I have to send out special thank you to Tania Hatter for she made it possible for me to not spend 5times what a car is worth getting a loan through a different lender, Mr wheeler and Sterling Jackson are crazy amazing. Mr Wheeler I believe can do anything for he sure took care of me and instead of a used car I drove out in a 2019 kia Forte, I mean sharp car, shoot never imagined, Thank you again God blessed me with your presence yesterday so happy to be a part of Jeff Wyler. High pressure, lying salesman To start, this was my first ever car purchase. I found a car listed online (2017 Buick LaCrosse) that supposedly came fully loaded with every feature To start, this was my first ever car purchase. I found a car listed online (2017 Buick LaCrosse) that supposedly came fully loaded with every feature I could dream of. I was really excited about the car and really liked the advertised sunroof feature. I had sent an inquiry online and got an automated message back stating that the dealership was closed on Sundays. I liked the car so much that we drove up anyway (over an hour) just to take a look at it. When we got there we found that they were not closed, but opened all day. The salesman approached us right away with no self introduction. He showed us the Buick I had been looking at online, and I was very disappointed to see that the car did NOT have a sunroof even though it was listed as a feature on the website. The salesman continued to walk me all over the entire Used car lot showing me vehicles that were out of my price range. I asked the salesman if they would discount the price at all due to the fact that they advertised it as having a sunroof when there wasn’t one. At first he said no, then started to back pedal and say “well if you really like it I’m sure we can figure something out”. Ultimately I ended up taking the Buick for a test drive and really liked the car. I really wanted the sunroof, and he said that he could have one put in within the week for the advertised online price of $25,500. We were sitting at a table in the showroom and he was basically saying anything to get me to buy the car. It was a very high pressure situation. He promised an additional $3,000 extended warranty through GM and gave us a booklet explaining it all. He even tried to bring out the Allstate insurance agent as a stall tactic to wear me down. Then he asked how I would pay for the vehicle and I said cash. Then he said, “well I was banking on you financing to earn some money back, that’s how I was able to give you those extras”. Repeatedly I told him I wasn’t ready to buy yet, there were other cars I wanted to see first.” He would just not take NO for an answer. He just kept stalling and trying to get me to drive other vehicles that were outside of my price range. I told him to get me his card and to write down the price for everything. He claimed he ran out of cards, but wrote down his name, number, and email for me. He never produced a total cost for everything on paper like I asked. I ended up standing my ground and left without the car. That evening and the next morning I decided I really liked the car and wanted to purchase it. So we went back to the dealership the following day after I had emailed the salesman telling him I wanted the car and given him my Discover Card info. When we got there the salesman told me that he would be letting the new guy (Isaiah) take the commission for the sale since he was in training. At first things seemed normal and then we had to wait about an hour to an hour and a half while they prepared the paperwork. We made it back to the financial office, and this is when things started going amiss. I was shown a warranty package for an extra $5000. At that point, I had brought up that the salesman told us yesterday that he was throwing in the extra extended warranty for free as part of the value. The financial officer went to speak with the salesman, and then the salesman came back and said that he didn’t realize that the vehicle was certified in Florence and not Eastgate, therefore I would have to pay an additional $500 just to recertify it to get the warranty that he originally promised as part of the price. I still really liked the car, so I continued and we negotiated a cheaper price of one of the warranty packages. I wasn’t happy at that point, but nonetheless continued on. The financial officer came back and kept going with the paperwork. A paper came up that he wanted me to sign saying that the dealership owed me nothing. I brought up the sunroof the salesman had also promised as part of the advertised internet price. The financial officer laughed. When I said I was serious, he said that the salesman told him we were no longer doing the sunroof, which he never mentioned to me. The salesman re-entered the office to explain that in order to give me the discount on the warranty, he cut the sunroof out. While we were negotiating the price of the warranty he never once mentioned that the sunroof would be getting cut out of the equation. He was very dishonest and lied the whole time. Everything he had promised the day before was completely taken off the table. I ended up paying $2,000 more than what I had planned on. I left with a sick feeling in my stomach and a bad taste in my mouth. What should have been a very happy and exciting experience turned out to be a horrible disaster. If I didn’t really love the car, I would have walked away. The salesman was Zach Andersen. More
