I test drove the car, found out it had been involved in an accident and wasnt quite sold with the lo I went in the see a car and trade in another car. They drive my car, and are all praise. Then they appraise it significantly below the value. next they take the car to "their mechanic". Who scribbles a bunch of fake codes about the things worng with my car. Little did they know that my car has always been on a complete service rotation schedule with the Mercedeze Benz dealership. As a matter of fact I had it serviced not 3 weeks ago. They try to low ball you by saying the car needs work. But of course it does not. Then the next attack is the KBB value. in the 1 hour that I left my home and they saw my car, the KBB value seems to drop about 8K on my car. And thats besides the point. I tell the salesman, whats the point of bringing the car in here, driving it, seeing it first hand, if later you still want to quote some factitious number. Than they try come back claiming we'll give you a higher offer. And by this time I have had enough. It was obvious they are a trying to rip people off on trade ins. They just make you sit there and keep making excuses in an effort to low-ball you and waste your time. Not once in the entire 2 hours that I was there, did any one come up with an actual number of what that trade in value is. So I walked out realizing it had been monumental waste of my time and misplaced good will. After I get home, calls and texts start coming about how I should come back, and also bring my car back for "Another appraisel". But my car was already at their dealer ship for 2 hours. They test drove it, inspected it, 2-3 different managers saw it. And yet they want to appraise it again. talk about a wasted opportunity. Forget about the fact the car they were trying to sell me had an accident. I would stay away. I know my new car is out there somewhere. Just not at Jidd. It helps to know and profile the customer a little bit. You are working with a customer twice your age, and you just cant stop insulting his intelligence by playing cheap games, you will just run him out without a deal.
