Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Danielle. We understand your frustration with the fact that your vehicle was not immediately worked on at drop off. When scheduling your appointment you should have been informed that your appointment is to meet with your service advisor, not for immediate start of service. This is reiterated in your confirmation emails. This is especially true for repairs that require a Journeyman technician trained for jobs that involve more than routine maintenance, as was the case with your vehicle. We're glad the problem was small and able to be corrected quickly, but the cause of Cruise Control no longer working can be many things that we would have had to check out. We do apologize that it was not communicated to you that, while you did drop your vehicle off on a Saturday when we are open, we do not have Journeyman technicians available on weekends. This is also true at other GM dealerships, as it is a Union agreement. So Monday was the first day any GM certified dealership (not just us) would have even had anyone at the dealership to look at your vehicle. Again, we agree that is it regrettable that this was not clearly communicated to you. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your frustrations and we want to clear things up as much as possible with the information that you provided. Depending on the work you needed done, it would have to be performed by a Journeyman technician. We are currently a few days behind for start of work on Journeyman level repairs, which is why the work couldn't be performed today. When setting your appointment, they should have informed you that your appointment was to meet with your service advisor, rather than immediate start of work. This was reiterated in your confirmation emails. With regard to the rental vehicle, we can understand why it might seem that we aren't looking out for you. Unfortunately, we are bound by GM policy in this situation. GM deems vehicles drivable unless they don't start or don't run properly. As we are a GM dealership, we have to follow their rules. This is why we recommended reaching out to GM, in the hopes that they would break policy for you. If you would like us to clean your windshield for you here at the dealership, we are happy to do so at no cost to you, in the hopes that it will help keep you safe. Take my car in to get the windshield clean? That’s funny. I’d have to wait an hour just to get it done. This is the worst customer service I’ve seen. I’m taking it to a dealer that cares about me and my safety.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, Mr. Penrod. You are absolutely correct that we are unable to provide free rentals to customers unless their vehicle is not able to be driven (ie. not starting or not running) per GM policy. As we are a GM dealership, we must follow GM rules. We understand that it is never fun to wait for work to be done on vehicles, but we can assure you that your Service Advisor did not forget about you. We know he didn't because our Customer Experience Manager was checking on the status of your vehicle at least once an hour during your visit, as a result of the case that you opened with GM. Within that case we also asked for them to provide you with a free rental, but GM declined. We truly did everything we could to help you. We're sorry you didn't feel this way.
