As we mentioned in reply to your other survey, when scheduling your appointment, you should have been informed that your appointment was to meet with a service advisor, and not for immediate start of work on your vehicle. We're sorry if this was not properly communicated to you. We schedule in this way because if there is a problem that is more labor intensive than routine maintenance, they work must be performed by a journeyman (a more highly trained technician). As Journeymen are in high demand and the work they do typically takes longer to complete, there is often a wait for them to get to their next vehicle. It is drastically more efficient for the vehicle to be on location and ready to be worked on as soon as they are ready than to wait for a customer to bring the vehicle back in. We did not have the parts required for this repair on hand because, while we are a GM Certified shop with technicians trained to fix your GMC, we are a Chevrolet dealership. We do not have the capability to house all possible parts for all GM brand vehicles at our dealership. While we understand this may be frustrating at times, we do appreciate our customers' patience with these matters and understanding of the process. We're glad we were able to expedite shipping for the Reservoir Kit and ensure that so much of the repairs your vehicle needed were covered for you.
