Jim Ellis Chevy has never disappointed me. Vladimir Kochubey is very good at getting in touch, being honest with repairs, very professional and thorough. On this particular day, he was busy, so I was passed off to Paul to help with my service. This review is not really a condemnation on them as much as it is the experience I had as a whole, and the results that came from it. I took off of work and made an appointment to have both of my cars (CTS and Yukon) serviced in one morning on February 21. After spending 2 hours waiting and nearly $200, here were my results: 1. On the way home in the CTS, I received a message on the HUD that the Tire Monitoring System needed to be serviced. Upon further investigation by myself, it was because the PSI sensor for the back right tire was not correctly reconnected. Only way to fix it? Bring it back to the dealer. Considering I drove 12 miles to get there to begin with, easier said than done. This should have been checked and confirmed working before the car was returned to me. 2. On Monday morning after dropping the kids off at the bus stop, I got back in my car only to find my car wouldn't crank. Dead battery. I took it to AutoZone where it was determined the battery was dead. Once I realized this, it dawned on me that it had seemed like the car was taking a little more effort to crank in the previous few weeks. I'm not sure if this is a service provided during an oil change, but it seems that should be something that should be on a list of things to check. As long as it took for my car to be serviced, and all of the time I took signing preliminary paperwork and watching people walk around my car for 15 minutes (looking for what I don't know), it's disappointing that something like battery life is not detected by your trained mechanics. 3. In the process of missing another day of work on Monday to replace my battery, I had a chance to look under the hood obviously. I noticed that basic things like my fluids were not topped off. And that's putting it mildly, as my windshield washer reservoir was nearly completely empty. Is this not part of the service I paid nearly $200 for? If it's not, what exactly am I getting for my hard earned money? Surely it doesn't take $90 worth of oil to perform an oil change? Overall, it's disappointing that I go out of my way (geographically and financially) to have my cars serviced, and have these kinds of experiences. It makes me question next time if I am making the best decision to bring my car to the dealer, versus driving 3 miles to Jiffy Lube, paying $35/car, and being back home within 45 minutes. Please do better. More
Overall pretty good experience. I was able to seal the deal in less than one hour. They were respectful of time, not many forth and back negotiations as I've seen with other dealers. My sales agent Zach deal in less than one hour. They were respectful of time, not many forth and back negotiations as I've seen with other dealers. My sales agent Zach was very nice and knowledgeable about the Bolt EV. One area to improve is the finance department, it should not take more than 30 minutes if there is no issue with your credit. Expensive and poor communication I felt like I was chasing down the employee handling my car. It was a simple fix and when I called they indicated that they had the part in stock. O I felt like I was chasing down the employee handling my car. It was a simple fix and when I called they indicated that they had the part in stock. Once I brought my car in...they no longer had the part in stock. I rented a car for 5 days at my expense and I felt like there was no sense of urgency. One time when I called to understand the status - an employee told me he was stressed because he left his cell phone at home?! I definitely did not feel like a valued and appreciated customer. More
The dealership was very professional and very courteous. The deal went very well considering it was all done online. I will be suggesting friends in the future purchase from Jim Ellis Chevrolet.
