Car stalled 1 day after $1200 Service I put my Chevrolet HHR LT in for service on Monday 2/18. I requested the $895 service plus front brakes service. The total cost of the service was $12 I put my Chevrolet HHR LT in for service on Monday 2/18. I requested the $895 service plus front brakes service. The total cost of the service was $1200. I collected my vehicle that afternoon at approximately 3:00pm. The very next morning as I was travelling to work on I-20W, my vehicle started to lose power. The engine became extremely noisy and the car started shuddering. I pulled over onto the shoulder, at which point, the vehicle stalled and would not re-start. I had to call vehicle recovery and have my vehicle towed back to Jim Ellis. Before I arrived, I called the dealership twice, explained what happened to my vehicle and wanted to find out where the tow truck should drop my vehicle off when we arrived at the dealership. I was told to bring my vehicle directly into the service garage. However, when we arrived, we were told in no uncertain terms that we could not bring my vehicle into the service garage. I tried to explain to the rep that we were told to bring it to the exact position that we did, but he again insisted that we could not do that. I did eventually get my vehicle fixed, having been told that a seal had broken, but I feel that having spent $1200 for repairs, the oil seal should have been replaced as part of that service, as if it were at the point of failure, that should have been noticed and the seal replaced. Robert, my service rep, was very polite, but I feel that I should have been compensated for the inconvenience of having my vehicle break down and then having to arrange for the vehicle to be towed back to Jim Ellis,sacrificing time from work to do this. More
Not good. Robert Sigman was the service adviser I spoke with upon leaving my vehicle. My vehicle was just washed, before I dropped it off for rear end groans. Upon pick up, my car was brought out to me filthy. They did remedy the issue by washing it, but, it was the fact that it was brought to me in that condition. Since I've had my vehicle back from the service dept., I noticed that the rear end is still making the groan noise when I turn. This is UNACCEPTABLE to me, seeing that I purchased my vehicle from Jim Ellis Chevrolet. I am very dissatisfied. F.Y.I. Mr. Sigman was not the issue on this day, he was not at work. More

Overpriced I was initially going to be charged $140 for an oil change. When I asked about the price they said O that's not the real price its only $90, which sti I was initially going to be charged $140 for an oil change. When I asked about the price they said O that's not the real price its only $90, which still seemed high to me, and when I questions it further they said the price been raised. Then I looked up the price on the internet and it was listed for $69.95, When I questioned the price again, they said o yeah for your car that is the correct price $69.95. I believe they really were they going to charge me the $140, if I had not said something. At the end it still came out to $80 with some random charges. It would be nice if they told you the price upfront, instead of trying to charge the highest price possible and see if you notice. More
