Bait and Switch Does Not Play I made an oil change appointment for my 2018 Volt. I asked about the cost, and the representative pulled up my car’s history and told it was to be a f I made an oil change appointment for my 2018 Volt. I asked about the cost, and the representative pulled up my car’s history and told it was to be a free service. I received an email confirming the date and time. It said the service was $49.95. I immediately called the Service Department back and the same young lady told me to disregard the email—the service was definitely free. When I drove across town and arrived at the appointed time, the service writer, Sueann, told me it was indeed a $49.95 service. I explained the phone calls and she went to see her manager, Brandon Colon. She returned to tell me no, it was not a free service visit. I asked to see the manager, but he was suddenly unavailable. I had her retrieve my car as I resent bait-and-switch tactics. Because I am in the market for a new Bolt, I went up front to talk with a new car sales manager, Jeff Asberry (who was great: knowledgeable and congenial). During the course of the conversation, I told him what had transpired back in Service and he tried to raise Brandon, but couldn’t, and like Sue Ann before him, he said he would have Brandon call me. I could have done the same thing myself , including rotating the tires in less than an hour, but not including the multi-point inspection. Further, instead of costing me $56, I could have done it for at least half of that. The people I dealt with were courteous and very respectful. I only wondered if the dealership overbooked or, since my appointment was through the lunch hour, could have caused the delay. Last, when checking out and paying my bill, the service Representatives gave me the wrong set of keys. More

Tried to extort money after oil change. Set appointment for free oil change, tire rotation and after my 5000 mike check was fouled up, service manager said a free balance of all four wheels. I arrived early, and it took over 20 minutes for inept service techs to put in wrong codes. Estimate was 1 1/2 hours. After 2 hours, I searched for my tech, and work was done, I was handed the keys, and I drove away. 90 minutes later, I got email and text: “your car is ready” you owe us 59.95+ fees and tax. CRIMINAL attempted extortion. Not acceptable. More
