Go to Carriage Kia in Woodstock Completely disappointed in this service department. Bought my Kia Optima 3 years ago when it was Cobb County Kia. Like a fool bought service plan, not Completely disappointed in this service department. Bought my Kia Optima 3 years ago when it was Cobb County Kia. Like a fool bought service plan, note to self never do that. Had a known issue with my steering sticking in place, great fun driving down 575 at 65 mph with that happening. They reset the computer system which did not resolve the problem. They didn’t want to do anything more to fix the problem until I mentioned what would happen if I was in an accident due to a known issue that they refused to acknowledge. At that point they decided to replace the steering column and that took care of the problem. I have serviced and maintained my vehicle the entire time however I work close to home and do not put many miles on my vehicle. Last time I went in for service I was told my plan expired even though I still have serveral oil changes tire rotations and a spare key available. I spoke with the service advisor Lavar and he said he would see what he could do. Well he couldn’t do anything so he put me in touch with the service manager. Wish I knew his name to share with you but I don’t recall, only spoke with him once. He told me that the plan was through a 3rd party and when Jim Ellis bought the dealership those did not covey. I suggested that maybe to keep a loyal customer happy and to continue coming back for service and future sales he could honor the remaining oil changes and tire rotations.I wasn’t asking for anything that I hadn’t already purchased and intended to use. His reply was, “so you expect for me to give you free oil changes and tire rotations?” I replied that my husband has his own business and often times you make wise business decisions to keep your clients happy, coming back for repeat service and to give you referrals” He said he would see what he could do and get back to me, this was months ago and I never heard back. My opinion, that was a very poor business decision. I have since taken my business to Carriage Kia in Woodstock and couldn’t be happier. Do yourself a favor and do the same. Jim Ellis Kia does not have your best interest in mind. More

Oil Change - That's All I had a very good experience at Jim Ellis Kia. They have upped Kia's game. My service rep was Lavar Frederick, and he was as nice, respectful and kn I had a very good experience at Jim Ellis Kia. They have upped Kia's game. My service rep was Lavar Frederick, and he was as nice, respectful and knowledgeable as can be. I even had an old issue that he is going to finally resolve. I leased a Stinger in January 2018 that had some chips (defects) on 3 out of 4 brake calipers that Cobb County Kia did not repair -- likely because they wanted to shift the responsibility/initial cost to the new owner, Jim Ellis Kia. I fully expect Lavar to have my defects (that should be covered under warranty) repaired soon. New calipers will be needed, so the repair will not be that cheap. I appreciate Lavar and Jim Ellis Kia! I'll update this page with a new review once my caliper issue is resolved. Thank you, Lavar! James Wind was my sales guy. He knows more about Stingers than anybody in Georgia! If you want a Stinger, there is no other person to deal with than James. He may know more than the actual designers and manufacturers! Great job, James! More
