I wanted to do the 10K mile checkup at the dealership where I bought it to ensure there would be no warranty uncertainties later. I must admit I was not looking forward to it. Despite an excellent experience on the sales side (Kurt Matthews) almost a year ago, dealerships in general have a poor reputation for service, and that's what I was prepared for. Happily, this was a good experience. I had a 7:30 am appointment. They took my car quickly, and completed the work within the 90 minutes promised. Shane Sharpe checked me in, and patiently answered many questions I had about a variety of subjects. There was no rush to move on to the next customer, and talking with Shane was a pleasant way to start the day. I had a couple more questions when he retrieved me after the work was done, and again, he took the time needed to listen and answer. Of course I could be wrong, but Shane seemed knowledgeable about my car. So today I was pleasantly surprised. I love the car, and so far ... two thumbs up for Jim Hudson sales and service. Thanks! Service Excellence My Ford Focus was being repaired under the warranty due to an engineering issue with this particular year and make. I had to go through Ford's Custome My Ford Focus was being repaired under the warranty due to an engineering issue with this particular year and make. I had to go through Ford's Customer Care Center to arrange the original service appointment and I decided no to take it to the dealership where I bought the car due to a couple of visits there and that service department. I arranged to take it from Columbia to Lexington and deal with Jim Hudson instead. The first repair did not correct the issue, but I was informed by the Service Technician that it might not ahead of time. I set up a second appointment for repairs through the same technician and was treated extremely nice and was well informed of the process and the possible outcomes on both visits. As of this time, the car is driving much better and hopefully, this last visit fixed the problem. Chris Weaver was the Technician that I dealt with there and was very friendly and kept me well informed on the progress of the repairs both times, and told me what to expect from the time I drove it off the lot on the last visit. Beside Chris, the other people that I had to speak to or deal with were just as nice and helpful. I may have to drive a good bit further to get there, but I'll definitely want to bring my car back to this location for any and all repairs of my personal vehicles in the future. I'll also come here first should I decide much later down the line to trade this car for a newer model or to purchase another vehicle. I like dealing with Good people, and all the folks here Are Good People ! More
Fast service with a professional standard. I dropped my car off, was provided a free rental for the day, and was picking up my car the next afternoon. The work done on my vehicle was completed at no cost due to the 100,000 mi. warranty added to the 2014 Ford Focus - though this was no haggle, no hassle. They completely understood and never once tried to finagle me into other services or unnessessary repairs, the entire was paid by Ford and completed with care by Jim Hudson. I'd gladly take my car back again. More
