Bought a 2013 Equinox back in 2016. The car cost approximately $17,000. However, after they put you through the sweat shop of "add-ons you'll never use", the final bill came to over $23,000. Ok, that's on me, and never again.
However, shortly after purchase, I found that the oil consumption recall was never performed! So, after a lot of expense to get the vehicle diagnosed, Basil said the 1 liter of oil per 1,000 miles didn't meet the criteria! The used car manager said, "you get the car you pay for!"
Needless to say, another dealership did the recall without requiring expensive diagnostic tests and just recently I recouped some of my money back due to a settled class-action lawsuit brought against the manufacturer for, you guessed it, excessive oil consumption.
