I made a 12 noon appt. Received confirmation. Was told it was written down as a drop when I arrived. Two hour wait. After service, drove home, smelled oil, checked under hood. Got me in in a couple days which was appreciated. Staff was very nice. When I picked up my truck it was doing the same thing leaving the lot that they said they just fixed. Car had to be towed to the dealership on Monday for a cut in the sidewall, got car back on Wednesday with a brand new tire from capital city ford. Went to take the car to be with family on Friday and my TPMS in the sidewall, got car back on Wednesday with a brand new tire from capital city ford. Went to take the car to be with family on Friday and my TPMS was on, I put air in the tire and called the service department and was told to bring it in when I could. I couldn’t make it to Jefferson City because the valve stem was pushing out 5lbs of air every 30 seconds. My car had to be towed again. Recieved a call Saturday morning that the car is done and available for pick up. Was dropped off at the dealership and went to the service counter, gave my name and was told it was good to go. Before I got my invoice I asked if we could make sure my lugs were tight because they weren’t when I picked up the car on Wednesday evening. The cashier gave me attitude about asking for requests before drop off (it was a drop off after hours so idk when I should have told them on a road hazard emergency) I digress, I explained to the cashier that the car was taken in on tow and after hours, she responded with I needed to have let them know and asked the service advisor to come to the window, Angie who I had been corresponding with was asked to make sure my lugs were tight before I left. Angie did take care of my issue. I usually do not leave a bad review, however this time I was given terrible customer service and a dealership error. While it was comped because it obviously wasn’t my fault I should have been treated with respect since they have done all the service work, general maintenance and whom I bought the car from. The techs did not make sure my car was safe to drive before releasing the car back to me. Please have a talk with your service department about tire replacement care and for the love of god tighten the lugs. I do not work on cars on a daily basis and I even understand lug nuts play a critical part in tire and driving car. Seems pretty elementary to me but what do I know. More
My 2019 F 150 would not back up when in reverse, finally did after thec4th try. Drove directly to Capital City Ford to report the problem. The truck sat on the lot for 3 days before it was serviced. When I called to check on the status I was repeatedly told I didnt have an appointment when it was dropped off, indicating it was all my fault for bringing the truck to the Service department expecting it to be repaired, real sorry about that...Ultimately I was told the ABS had a code and had to be reprogramed. This was at least the 4th time this has been performed at 2 dealers in florida and twice at Machens as records should clearly show. This is obviously unacceplable. What should my recourse be if this continues? I traded a perfectly good truck for this one. Last I checked the brake system seem to be a very essential part, Ford seems to think this contiuing problem will simply go away. More
