5 vehicles purchased in 5 years - Service Visit I called to bring in my 2016 Ford Edge and 2015 Honda Civic 3 weeks ago yesterday. The appointments were for last Saturday. When we got there I told t I called to bring in my 2016 Ford Edge and 2015 Honda Civic 3 weeks ago yesterday. The appointments were for last Saturday. When we got there I told the lady the tire pressure light was on for the Honda, so I was told to bring it in and they would reset it for us. Now that we drove an hour to them, they dont work on Honda's! Are you kidding me? My sales person told me to bring it in, the person who made the appointment knew what we needed as well as the make and model of the car, then now they dont work on Honda's! After over an hour half wait, Eddie finally comes to talk to me about the issue with the loaner car and the Honda. He didnt know why no one told me they couldnt reset the tire pressure. He didnt know why no one told me a credit card is now required for a loaner car, this rule changed 3 years ago according to them. Eddie reached out to the Honda dealership up the road, they emailed him instructions on how to reset it and was able to reset it for us. Thank you Eddie! The Edge was brought in because when I would put gas in the car, sometimes while the car was still running but when it would first start up also, it would shake and vibrate the whole car. I knew this wasnt normal. The other issue was my 12 volt plug in the backseat was loose and needed to be replaced. Well, they told me my car was ready for pickup yesterday. They never fixed it, said they couldn't duplicate the issue. I picked up my car and dropped off their loaner car today. I left my cell phone in the loaner, once I got home I realized it, which is an hour away. I filled up my Edge and as soon as I started it up it shook and vibrated the car. Then I left the gas pump to pull out on the street, again the car shakes and vibrates, I go to the red light and stop, car shakes and vibrates again. Strange how Gerald in service said they tried to duplicate the issue, no codes popped up, no computer messages from the computer system, and it never shook on them. Yet I gas it up, like I said was causing the issue, and it shook 3 times before I went half a mile from the gas pump. What am i suppose to think about their service? Was i lied to? Did they even try to drive my car to duplicate the problem? They had my car a week, called me to say it was ready even though they hadn't fixed either of the issues that i brought my Edge in for service. Not to mention everything was under warranty! After demanding they replace the 12 volt plug, they finally did that. Gerald told me it was normal for the plugged in cord to fall out. Wow! Really? I plugged in my cell phone cord a few minutes ago and it's nice and snug....like NORMAL! Strange how when you fix something it's no longer broke. Why must i fight and throw a fit to get someone's attention when the work needed is all under warranty. I will tell you why, LACK OF COMMUNICATION, no one in the service department knows what is going on from the Director John to the people at the service checkout. I left my cell phone in the loaner, had to go get it, the lady told my husband i could pick up at the service checkout. I got there, the service checkout didnt have my phone, nor did they know i left it. They sent me to the front desk, she didnt have it, not did she know i left it in the loaner. I had to ask to call my own phone so i could locate it at their dealership! Finally after a few rings a lady answered and says i have your phone and I am looking at you. Wow! See here is a perfect example of their lack of communication in the service department, no one speaks to each other. How can you run a business this way? Nothing works in a group without communication, unless chaos is your goal. I will not purchase anymore vehicles here, nor will I come back for service, parts, body work, etc. I will find a Ford dealership that wants and appreciates my business and referrals :-) More
