Sir, It is very unfortunate that what should have been a pleasant experience has turned unpleasant. Our dealership ships cars all over the nation. We use companies that we trust will deliver your vehicle to you the way it left our lot. Without the ability to use the companies we trust, there is no way of knowing how your Mustang was treated from Texas to Pennsylvania. I can certainly understand your frustration in this situation and hopefully you can understand ours. Without knowing the company used for transportation, we have no recourse against them. We do not fill tires with liquid sealant, our batteries are marked so that we may identify them. Many transport drivers will tie cars down via the control arm. That's a long way to go if they tied your vehicle down this way, however the CPO warranty did cover the replacement. Sir, you were happy with the photos and price of the vehicle and unhappy with the way your vehicle arrived. I would think your complaint should be directed toward the transport company.

I can say with the utmost confidence that I will not rest until Joe Myers Ford is held accountable for your neglect in following the CPO checklist. It is disgraceful that you try and blame a transportation company for a battery swap, worn out bushing on a control arm and brake pads at 4/32nds which I'm told is below the CPO guide. These items should have been repaired or replaced per the check sheet. To believe that a car is picked up on a Friday afternoon, delivered Sunday evening and while enroute the shipping company replaced the windshield with an aftermarket part, swapped out a Motorcraft battery, wore the brake pads down, left cigarette burns in the interior, scratched up the bumper (and found the correct touchup paint color) and drag raced the car (yes the tire place showed me the chunks of tire missing) is incredible. The tire condition makes sense considering one of the dealers that the car passed though was LC Speedway. Yes I have plenty of free time and have taken to any website I can to call attention to your conduct that reflects poorly on Ford and a discredit to the auto industry. My experience is not new to your dealership. Do the right thing and take care of the CPO issues and misrepresented conditions/state of the GT 500.

Sir, You are now mentioning more items than in your original complaint. The pictures illustrated online are exactly the way this car looked when it was loaded onto your transport company's vehicle. I am sorry you feel this way, it's unfortunate. This car was represented properly with description and photos. Certification was within specs per our checklist.

We have over 8000 satisfied customers that we have shipped vehicles to. Joe Myers Ford was the #9 dealership in the nation for August. That being said simply means we ship cars all over the nation including Pennsylvania. We had offered to ship the vehicle using one of our trusted transportation companies. The customer used his own company to transport the vehicle from Texas to Pennsylvania so we have no way of knowing how the Mustang was treated. Our preference has always been to use the companies that we know to be honest and caring of our customer’s vehicles. Transport companies have been known to use the control arm to tie a vehicle on to their truck, that is what probably happened here. The CPO warranty did cover a replacement. Customer states he had a bad battery, we asked for a photo which showed a different battery than what we put in our vehicles. If the transport company was to do all of this to the customer’s detriment, then the tire being flat isn’t a surprise. We do not put liquid sealant in tires, this was apparently done when the flat occurred during transport. The brakes were within CPO guidelines. This Mustang was described accurately with photos prior to purchase. It is unfortunate that what ended up being a bad situation could have been a great situation had this customer let us follow through for him with the delivery of his vehicle.
