Extremely disappointed $50,000 buying experience. I’ll just hit the high points. The whole story is extremely long. Waited almost 3 hours for the truck to get to the dealer after I drove 7 hours f I’ll just hit the high points. The whole story is extremely long. Waited almost 3 hours for the truck to get to the dealer after I drove 7 hours for a “scheduled” appointment. Bottom line purchase price was raised 3 times after I signed the original. The manager promised a fill up to help compensate for my wait time. Then they only filled the truck halfway up. Was told this truck needed nothing. Before I got 45 minutes from the dealer the whole radio system was giving me crazy fits. ($1000 repair minimum). Brake pads went completely out metal on metal ruining my drivers rotor within 3 weeks and all I do is highway driving. I didn’t inspect any of this because the carfax showed a inspection and “brake check” at the dealer. I have 4 kids that a take with me all the time, I trusted in John Thornton to provide a safe used vehicle. Especially when I traded in an absolutely perfect one. They forgot to run my original $2000 deposit on my credit card. Three weeks later they called harassing me about payment, I mention to them I’ve spent $1500 on the truck already and I feel like there’s something they can do here. Especially since I gave them full asking price for the truck and they have my trade in priced to make 7k on it. (You would think if a dealer had this kind of profit on their vehicles they would take care of their customers) Very greedy! They said there’s nothing they can do for me except drive my unsafe truck down to them with zero brakes 7 hours away and they would replace the pads. The fact that they wanted me to drive the truck that far with no brakes is unreal to me. I’m not doing 14 hours of driving for brakes, I run a shop and can do this myself. All I asked for was a little help and they said there’s nothing they can do. They even threatened to put a warrant out for my arrest after forgetting to run my deposit for 3 weeks. All I wanted was some kind of middle ground. I asked for $1000 off and was declined of any money back. I’ve resulted in getting a lawyer because of this ordeal. So going forward I want to make sure no one else has this problem, stay away!!!! More
