I generally don't leave bad reviews unless it is to warn others out of genuine concern. Sometimes you just have a bad experience and it just is what it is. However my experience with this dealership was not only bad it was concerning. Last week I purchased a used vehicle from this dealer. I paid cash and was told they just needed to detail it and fix something that was wrong with the latch on the hood. No big deal right? The next evening I drove from my house in Salt Lake City, picked up a second driver in Riverton to help me drive the vehicle home, and drove to Karl Malone in Draper. When we arrived we were told the vehicle was not ready and would not be ready until the following day. I was frustrated and requested that they call us next time to let us know if it wasn't going to be ready. And it wasn't ready the following day. Or the day after that. Or the day after that. For a week it sat at the dealership. My salesman kept sort of shrugging and just saying the car was having trouble starting sometimes and they were trying to figure out why. When I asked him for details about what the mechanics had tried or found he just said he didn't know and he didn't know much about mechanics. He never transferred me to a mechanic or a manager in the mechanic Department. I asked for his manager who couldn't case less about what I had to say and just transferred me back to my salesman. I was very frustrated because not only was I not getting answers they were also not acting concerned that they had not followed through on their end. No concern that I had been a whole week without a vehicle that I had relied on having. There were no apologies when I told them I had paid for insurance on a vehicle that I didn't even have. To be honest they talked to me like I was stupid, which is their mistake because I am not. When I asked for my money back they argued and told me I wouldn't find this good of a deal anywhere else. Give me top shelf run around bs while providing absolutely no customer service. I told them I might still consider taking the vehicle but I wanted to see the mechanical report. They gave it to me and when I asked questions the salesman said again that he didn't know anything about mechanics and he just sort of shrugged (did he expect me to flip my hair and say, "Me neither, lol! Oh well!" Or something?). Well the salesmen, James, must think I'm really stupid because I went home and 1: looked up everything on the mechanical report which showed that the vehicle has major issues. I called my Uncle who is a mechanic who told me that the report indicated there are serious issues with the engine. 2: I Googled my salesmen who has a public Facebook page containing information and pictures verifying that he knows a great deal about mechanics since he is a mechanic at his second job. His Facebook page also bragged about how much money he makes. So classless, so tasteless, and so insulting. My salesman was knowingly trying to sell me a vehicle with problems and his manager did nothing to intervene. At the very least they could have been better liars. It's one thing to be manipulative and lie but it's particularly frustrating when somebody does so in such a lazy, effortless manner. Why Karl Malone doesn't have higher standards for the people they employ is beyond me. Buyer beware. Believe the bad reviews, of which there are plenty. And guess what? That vehicle is reposted and some poor person is going to buy it. I ended up going over to Utah Used Car Sales and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Surprise, surprise! I did find a better deal and the whole staff was friendly, welcoming, and transparent. I can't recommend them enough. The experience was great but by comparison to my first experience it was spectacular. More

Worst Service Experience in 40 years of car buying. 0 star Service experience only because I can't do less than 0. Already bought the car, good experience. Used the body shop, good experience. Just went in for a tire rotation and treated like absolute dirt. Matt the service guy left me standing in the service drive, and walked away twice without a word, and drove off the third time after taking papers out of my car, saying nothing. Just got in the car in front of me and left. For the third time I had to seek out someone to help me. I I had to go find someone else to complete his job. I asked him "are you Matt?" he stared at me and said "yeah". And just stood there starting at me. I could not believe this was actually the treatment I got after dropping 30,000.00 on their business. An absolute jerk. So going to buy another Prius soon, I was all set and had actually talked to my Sales guy (who was awesome) may not now. If I have to deal with this jerk, I may go to one of the other dealers. More
Great experience for my first car purchase I found the Highlander I wanted online, and was quickly called back by Scott Sobczak. He was very responsive through the entire process. I asked to have them rotate the rear and they didn't because the rear had more tread left in the rear so in the end my tire life was extended and they saved me some money from not doing the rotate. Also really appreciate they noticed that I really love my truck so they didn't throw it though the car wash. The other dealer would throw it though even if I said not to. Definitely will stay with these guys for future service! Also Andrew Clark is awesome! Hope to have him as a service writer every time! More

Best Dealership I Have Ever Worked With We specifically went back to Karl Malone to buy another new car because our first purchase experience and the service we received on that vehicle was We specifically went back to Karl Malone to buy another new car because our first purchase experience and the service we received on that vehicle was so great. Over the last six years we have worked with several salesmen, and probably a large percentage of the service personnel. There is not a bad or even weak interaction to report. Salesmen are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and professional. The two finance guys we worked with, Akim and Chris were great, and really efficient and quick. I not only would recommend this dealership, I have to several associates that have asked me where I buy my cars. More

They have treated me poorly and one employee was supposed to call me back, never did. And I called him twice to check on the status of the issue. They never mailed my license plate on time - my temporary one expired before I got the new one... and my car has been in the shop FOUR times since I purchased it. They lied to me and said everything was working great and ONE WEEK after purchasing the car the torque converter and battery went out (luckily I have the warranty). I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The sales staff was great - it is only the service department I have had so many problems with. More
